crazy cedit report

Unfortunately, cleaning up your credit report is not an easy thing to do, especially if there is something on there that you know you paid off, yet it is still there. You have to figure out a way to show proof that you paid the item off, and if it has been a long time since you paid it off, it can be hard to obtain such proof, especially if you have changed banks in the time since you made the payment. You can get it cleaned up, but it will likely take some effort on your part...

I too found some crazy things on my credit report when I first checked mine about 8 years ago. There was a delinquent credit card on my credit report that was for another member of my family! But when I disputed the claims of the things I knew were not mine, they were resolved fairly quickly, and taken off the credit report. At least a couple of credit reports. I guess I would have to find all of them to make sure every company corrected theirs.
