Buying clothes online.Views on Joe Browns and in paticular one dress!

I have a wedding to go to in a couple of months in a different country. I'm expecting it to be fairly hot (with any luck!) around 40c. I'm having major trouble finding a dress to wear so if you know of any good shops in the UK/online that have a good selection below £50 please let me know! I have found this one via Joe Browns though my other half says its ugly and looks too 1950s housewife. What do you think of it? I do quite like it but am worried about buying it online in case it doesnt fit or looks really different. Have you bought anything from Joe Browns? Do you tend to find their sizes are small or large as when I look at my measurements on their guide chart I annoyingly fit between two different sizes!
