Mac vs. Windows: Which would you choose and why?

I've been a Windows user for years now, and I was satisfied until I happened to catch a Mac demo at an iStore recently. I saw the Mac userface and the speed at which it ran, and was impressed. Also, most people who've tried both seem to prefer Mac over Windows. I'm contemplating buying a Macbook later this year, and I would appreciate any feedback. Do you myLotters have a preference?
