To sell or not to sell? Tupperware I mean.

Since Hubby is still looking for a job I was thinking of selling on the side. I mean like Avon not drugs by the way. I think Avon is too over done here. I know at least 4 people who sell locally, plus I have family on both sides who sell it. I have been looking up different companies and I am thinking of selling Tupperware. Does anyone sell this and how well do they do? Is it expensive to start up or cost effective? I am really curious about it. If not is there anyone else who sells like this and what? Do you do good or is it becoming too hard sale with the economy the way it is? Any ideas I am open to.

Hi O.L. I don't sell Tupperware or have any advice about it but if you are checking into other businesses to get involved with you might want to take a look at Speciality Merchandise Corp. I sold it for about 2 years and did very well. Go to their website and request their info packet which is free. They offer several ways to sell and believe me, the product sells. I used to rent some shelves in gift shops and sell at flea markets and made money. I had to stop when I got ill and couldn't drive anymore. You definately have to have transportation to sell it, deliver it, etc. If your not already familiar with them, check it out. I recommend it!!

I have sold Tupperware. I found it did not pay me enough for the amount of work involved for me.

I would think it would be difficult for several reasons. If people are having to live like me they wouldn't have any place to hold parties. But they could have people just make orders. People out of work for long periods could be a problem. I haven't even seen any Tupperware for years. Maybe you could start a new fad of having these parties.

Selling is good as long as you love what you are doing, you know how to sell the product and do some marketing strategy on how to earn more money. Try also browsing some sites about part time business so you can have a brighter ideas.

Hi, I also wanted to start tupperware business. I enquired abt it from friends. As far as I know, you earn tupperware items only. Money is less earned. U get expensive gifts from the company on good sales. May be u can do a internet research or contact the company directly. Its a good business though. Many people are today buying this ware.

you are absolutely on the right path.selling is the real way to success.and to be specific i mean network marketing.networkmarketing though requires hard initial efforts but its long term effects touch our dreams.i am from india and here in india the one of top company is rmp.and as far as tupperware is concerned that too is a good company.remember selling concept and network marketing differ from each other.according to me network marketing is the future and one can earn more in it as compared to sselling concept. happy mylotting.

Go for it! Tupperware has a good brand reputation especially for moms who are looking for products with real quality value. If you will not really stay long with this company, the most important thing is you are doing a good start which will be of big benefits to you in the long run. Aside from Tupperware, I am sure there are some other companies involved in direct selling that you can involved with. Companies in gifts and jewelries would probably be good to go with also. Welcome to the club of the direct sellers!

I'm not sure where you live, but I'm in the UK and the likes of avon and betterware are massively overdone here. However I have never had tupperware in my street. I would be interested in this if someone came to my door, but I feel like it would be a one off thing and that you would have to travel further afield to make a constant profit. Good luck.

I think if you have good selling skills, just choosing what to sell won't be a problem to you anymore. There are many networking companies there that offers products for you to sell. Tupperware is not that popular anymore I guess, because you can find many affordable and good quality plastic products at the supermarket. But still it's up to you if you really want that business. There's no harm in trying.
