Sometimes I think I am just so lucky. Did you ever just have a really good week? Tuesday night, I came home from running errands and doing chores, to find a stove on my back porch. I had mentioned to a neighbor that we didn't have one in our apartment yet, as the old one was in such terrible condition it had to be taken to the salvage yard.
Well, the neighbor works for a housing company that replaces the stoves all at once, whether they need it or not. Just so happened they were getting rid of a few good ones, and instead of taking it off to the salvage yard...he brough one to me.
I say I am lucky to have found such a good neighbor just after moving into this neighborhood.
Did you ever have anything like that happen to you?

I once forgot my costly cell phone at the supermarket.Luckily for me a close friend rang my number and was surprised to hear a new voice on phone. He asked the person to deposit the cell phone at the counter.I went back after a short while and managed to recover my cell.I consider myself lucky and thankful that my friend made a call at the very moment when i was trying to remember where i misplaced my cell.

You were quite the lucky one. A lot of times with cell phones, especially expensive ones, once they are gone, they are gone.
Sounds like you were most certainly having a lucky day that day. And your friend was able to lend a helping hand as well.
Thanks for your response in this discussion picjim, and have a great day here on myLot!

Yes, sometimes I do just feel lucky. I mean, a lot of the time, I feel lucky to be alive. I've had so many close calls with accidents, I truly believe that God is watching and protecting me. I feel lucky to be have fairly good health and be able to do what I want to do.

It is good to hear that there are people who are out there living with that "Lucky to be alive" attitude. Good for you StephanieAnn! I have been working on my attitude a lot here lately. It seems like the more positive that I am, the more positive things that happen to me. I guess it's just karma.

There are really some good people who have a heart like that. I also had experience receiving goods from people who know us. They are not our neighbor but they are kind enough to share. They gave us 2 computers and they are all Mac Apple. They said, instead of taking those 2 good computers to Goodwill they gave it to us. We already have computers at home me and hubby has each. Then somebody gave us another two so we get rid of our old one and gave it to somebody. It is so nice to have people who have a good heart. Like you, I am lucky too.

It sounds like you have been very fortunate as well Bebs. I think that you get back what you give out in life. I hope that I can find the opportunity to help other people when they are in need. I also want to be able to find the time and money to help my family.

very rarely I see lucky girl smiling towards me.But often,I found myself unlucky.Even after hard and sincere efforts,I can't get the desired, most reasonable victories or profits in my life.Yes,one should be lucky enough to enjoy things despite his efforts.

Hiya kykidd,
In spite of everything I have been very lucky with some things. We once got stuck in London as we both had to go to the Home Office because my Husband is Spanish and had to fix up the Papers and all that and the Tube Railway went on Strike the same time. I was six months pregnant I had not rested all Day long I was freezing cold with very little money in my Pocket as my so called Friend who said he would come and pick me up left me and my Husband there stranded.
My idea was to ask a Policeman to stop a Lorry for us and see if they were passing through my City Wolverhampton. Luckily after the second stop there was a Lorry. The Lorry Driver took us up to a Cafeteria on the Motorway and a Coach Driver who was there had a whip around and gave the Money to me as the Lorry Driver had told him of our plight. I was really touched and it restored my faith in People again as I did have one very long frustrating nerve wracking Day. We got home at about three o´clock in the Morning and my Mom had grudgingly (grin) left our Dinner in the Oven which we ate with relish I can tell you.
The Lorry Driver and the Coach Driver and not forgetting the Policeman are really great People they did not have to go out of their way but they did and I am forever thankful to them. I just hope I may be able to pay them a good turn sometime.

What a wonderful story. And I am sure that even if you do not ever come across these people again in your lifetime, that some way, some how, these people will be blessed. I believe that whenever you do something good for someone that it comes back to you tenfold. I am sure that there good deed has not gone unnoticed.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful story with us here on myLot, and have a beautiful day!

Sorry but I don't believe in being lucky... Life is depends both on your decision and choice not chance or luck...

Good things happen to good people. You are one. I truly feel if you have a good outlook that 'luck' does happen. It is a good feeling when you give that it is given back to you.
