What is Philippines in the sight of others?

Most foreigners do not know anything about the Philippines just as they know little about most countries that are not mentioned in the news very often. However, after my first trip there and getting married there I can say personally that the Philippines is a fascinating place, a beautiful place and a very interesting place. The people a very happy and content and easy to get on with and treat you with genuine respect. In other words, you are a wonderful people. However, because of the fairly low standard of living in the Philippines, the Filipino has a perception that to live in the west is much better and all westerners are rich in comparison. I would much rather live in your country than in the west. While the standard of living is a bit higher here the life style is not. The westerner has to work long hours just to maintain that lifestyle and pay much of his earnings to the government in taxes. So I say, try and look for ways to improve your lot in the Philippines because it is not necessarily better anywhere else. I can't wait to come back.

I asked this question to a foreign friend and she told me that most Filipino women look very much alike with each other, as if we are all come from the same parents. I just laughed, maybe she was just being nice, she did not want to say something bad about our country.

I think in manpower aspect, they will say 9/10 with 10 as highest, that's the only thing that's unique in filipino's we are a very good workers :)
