To all Filipinos

Former president Ferdinand Marcos truly is an intelligent president who did a lot of things for the betterment of the Filipino people. He is one of the presidents that I admired because he made a lot of projects and made the Philippines almost one of the richest in the past he made the lives of the Filipino people be like those of the rich countries and food wasn't that expensive and all the physical needs of the people were provided. Too bad he overused his power in the past. Anyway, He is the second for the title best president for me. the real best president that I consider although I wasn't able to see his goodness was the late president Magsaysay because he had a good heart for the poor and the needy he's the only president in the past that doesn't need a bodyguard or what because he was most the most loved president ever in the Philippines. Even an ordinary farmer who need help was being accommodated by him in his office.

After the 2nd world war the Philippines was the best performing economy in Asia. It was relatively easy for the early presidents to do a lot of good after the US left. However, now that the Philippines is the second poorest in Asia economy wise, it is more difficult for a president or government to make any impact. I wonder is the slide in ranking from the best to nearly the worst anything to do with the early presidents doing 'too much' good.
