I overheard someone on the radio Yesterday,I think the subject was about the fire service rescuing cats from trees...they said "When was the last time you saw a cat Skeleton in a tree? When they're hungry, they'll come down!" Cats lived in trees before we adopted them and made them House Kitties...My (now departed) cat turned up on my doorstep as a stray kitten, and wasn't out of the house for the next few months during the winter except for vet visits..the first chance he got to get out of the open front door,he ran up the nearest tree by the roadside! It took some persuasion, but he eventually came down..

Yes I have often heard this said, if a cat can get up, it WILL get down ----- EVENTUALLY!!

Yeah, well. I usually do that for my pets just because I enjoy climbing trees, and I can't stand when they're away from the house for too long. I've lost too many cats to the road to feel comfortable having them out for more than three hours. But still, they will be fine if you keep them in a tree. Because all animals still have their instincts.

When I was a child andwe had kittens weused to encourage them to climb trees. My mom would then have to get them down. Kittens somtetimes go up fine but reverse is harder The mechanics are different. Good for you for getting your precious out of th tree.
