I want to try something new. Something different. I wanna learn how to play the piano. Well, actually, the only piece I really wanna learn is Canon by Pachelbel. I really really love that song. Whenever I hear it, it makes me wanna learn how to play it. Searching for the piece online is easy, but the problem is, I don't know how to read notes! Lol. Can somebody here teach me how to read notes? hehehe...

you can try to surf at the site i paste here at my response it giht help you. http://www.key-notes.com/
or you can buy KEYNOTE'S MUSIC ENCYCLOPEDIA at National Bookstore. it cost around 350 or more. it can teach you to see what notes and the placing on the hand on the piano. this is very easy to use. i bought my niece that encyclopedia for she wants to learn piano but i am busy to teach her every details. i still teach her every now and then but she is getting a good progress by studying alone. do you have a piano at home or a keyboard atleast.

That's a very nice advice. I do have a piano to practice on. It's my aunt's and no one's using it. I'm going to check that site out and I'll make sure to check the book out too. Thanks!

well, that song is quite advance to intermediate, you should try basic songs like doe a dear,,or simple chord tunes, you can check youtube there are a lot of tutorials there, you even start playing without reading notes..

Hi grayxenon: I love youtube tutorials about playing the piano. My sister usually play some of her favorite songs on our piano following the instructions of the tutorials she find on youtube. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

That song is the main reason why I wanted to learn how to play the piano. If you want it you can do it. And if I learned how to play it, I'm sure I can manage to play any song I want after that.

Just browse at youtube and you will know it's easy. You can take piano lesson at the same time. Just like what I did with my small keyboard.

You have two music staffs. The treble cleff and the bass cleff. The treble cleff is the one I have the most familiar with. The lines on the treble cleff is E, G, B, D, F. The spaces are F, A, C, E. Better known as Every Good Boy Does Fine. And Face. And when you sight read on a piano, you use those cleffs. I have played piano for awhile, but I really wouldn't know how to tell someone how to play. There are stuff out there to help you to learn how to play. When I got back into the piano, I went to www.learnandmaster.com. They have DVD's and CD's and you can take the instrument and the lessons at your own pace. Just a suggestion.

I'm thinking of picking up piano after a lot of years. I was going to get myself a beginning piano for adults book and see what I can do with it. I love the Canon also...

Hi sophiaraine: I thing that's a good purpose. I remember that I take some lessons when I was a kid and I love it. I also love the sound of the piano so I think that's a good activity and the sound of the piano calms me down, it's beautiful, emotional, romantic. Thanks for sharing with us what you want to do. Hope you'll find out how to read notes. HAve a nice day.

The best way to learn how to play Piano is to enroll in a Piano Tutorial Lesson. Most beginner lessons are very affordable, you can afford it. The teacher will teach you step by step from beginner level to advance level. When I was a child, I enrolled in one of those lessons. Then, later on, you can develop what we call "Weedoo". The weedoo is your ears' natural talent in analyzing music.

If you really want to learn how to play the piano then i suggest you take piano lessons. Yes it might cost you some but hey its all worth it in the end. That is if your really into playing the piano, because if your just into it because a friend of yours knows how to and you just want to do the same thing it might not be effective at all. Knowing how to play the piano needs alot of passion, passion for music you want to play it because you want to feel the music taking over you.Its not like some fad that you like today then you dont like the other day.In our family most of our members knows how to play the piano except me, i love playing the violin though
