I have a Dell Dimension 4600 with a flatscreen 15" monitor. I don't have the device that turns my computer on. I can also put a CD or disc in the computer disc drive. I need to know the name of this device. It looks just like the one that is on this page. Mines is black. It is shaped in a rectangular form, and it can sit on the floor. What is this called? And does anyone know where I can get one for a cheaper price than at Dell? I need a way to turn my computer on so that I can access the Internet. Please help me by clicking on the link and by telling me what this device is called. Thanks. http://www.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/deals/popular_desktops?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs

I'm kind of confused here. Didn't he say he could still put cd in a drive and that he did not have the cpu unit. So if he doesn't have the cpu unit where did he actually put the cd. Or am i misunderstanding something here

Oh my gosh, that is easy, it is the tower unit, isn't it? You can get it anywhere, You can even get it from the store in your local area, like Fry's electronic; Microcenter.

cream97, It is called the CPU and as for the price - it will depend on what hardware you want for your CPU, the configurations and specifications. Value for money is what you are looking for - so performance is of the essence here.

That's called a CPU.. Most computer comes with it, when one is buying the whole set, unless the CPU is spoilt?? BUt even then, nobody will tend to buy only the CPU, when the whole package includes the monitor as well.. HAve u been cheated?? As far as i know, u need not be buying the CPU from dell, because all other brands will be suited too, since u only have got the monitor now.. Besides, dell is not that cheap after all, compared to other brands.. hehe

hi cream 97 I think you mean the cpu but am not sure 'as i have a much older computer turns on when I turn it on and has a router and a modem that puts me on the cable to get onto the net. I pay a whopping 39 dollars a month for this set up so it had better be fast.
