My weekend had been dull so I decided to doodle around. My tablet broke on me so I had to use a mouse for this one. I'm a big fan of Naruto so I drew this one just for fun. I gotta say, It's not easy using just a mouse in drawing something so simple as this. I guess it's because it's my first time but still.
I did this portrait using Gimp 2.6. It's like Adobe Photoshop but with a little less capability yet a still powerful digital image manipulation program.
I'd like to know, is there anyone here who can really draw using a mouse? Can I get any tips? What do you think of my work?

I tried drawing things with mouse but every time I try I end up not finishing the drawing. I'm not comfortable using the mouse to it's just that I haven't learn a comfortable technique to do so. I use adobe photoshop, the portable one, so I can edit pictures anywhere. I made a magazine cover just the other day.
You are an artistic so no doubt you can draw with a mouse

Nice cover. Although I think I'm not interested in reading the content. I'm doing another one. Kobe Bryant. Someone insisted me on making it cuz he's her favorite. You know how irritated I am with Bryant. I know you are too. I really hope the Lakers lose.

That's cool. I like the highlights. I use gimp as well. I used to draw with a mouse, but never got good at it. My best mouse work was done when I used long quick strokes for the base sketch and slow small movements for adding detail. That was my method; it might not work for everyone. I have a tablet now.

I envy you and your tablet. I've tried a Waccom and i was astonished at how cool it was. I'm gonna buy myself one of those someday..
