There are friend requests that we don't really know who are they but still we approve them and added as friend in Facebook but there are risks that they might get your identity through your profile so we better not to accept them as friends if we really don't know them to save our profile.

hi there marvin,
well for now, i am one of those who accept all friend requests that i received. haha and its just because im gathering neighbors for a game that i am playing. i am not really afraid of such identity theft coz i don't think someone will be interested with me. lol! and besides i don't put much thing about me in my profile and i set most things to be private. i do group my list of friends in there to just friends and 'people that i know personally. and i just let those people that i know personally to see my pictures and other things. the friends that i just met in games what they are seeing are my updates from games.

I guess some people use Facebook to meet new people. Every now and then I will get a friend request and they'll send a message along with it. I look into their profile and try to investigate where they got my name from. Most of the time it's from some group that joined (it's not like I'm active on any of the Facebook groups, but of course my name is there) . . . so they're looking for people who have the same thing in common. Other times it seems to be some random "let's be friends" and I don't know how they came across my name. But I don't add any of these people (with the exception of 2 on my list) . . . because they are strangers. I don't need unknown people to know my business - so definitely I ignore their friend requests! Everyone else on my friends list is someone I know personally . . . and I will keep it at that.

Really never understood why people accepted friends requests on Facebook when they dont even know them. A friend of mine explained that many people do this to help them play the games on FB. The more friends you have the easier the games can be to play.
Seems like a stupid idea to me, if I want to play the games I wont be asking strangers for help.
And you wonder why people complain about there privacey . Doh!!
