Do you crochet and knit? Which one do you like better? Which is easier to learn? I know how to crochet a little but not much. I have done loom knitting but I don't think I could do regular knitting. I am not coordinated enough to use more than one needle.

If you can find a good book or someone close by to help you.
My DIL tried to use the book method, but they must have been left handed. She showed me hers and the books and we then figured it out.
I am sure there is someone fairly close to where you live. Once you have started it you can surely do it.

Hi Pholfer,
I am good in crocheting. Crocheting is my hobby and its a productive hobby for me. i am now shipping my products to US and the middleeast. my taught me how to crochet when i was just in my teen years and now it's a good source of income too.

I knit and crochet equally. Going between the two is as easy as breathing for me as well. Each craft has it's advantages - mainly in the type of fabric and it's use. Crocheting is awesome for purses/totes, hot pads, towel toppers.... Knitting makes an awesome fabric for garments, hats, mittens or socks. Each has it's own advantages to learning as well. While your stitches sit on the needles in knitting, it's much easier to count your stitches... plus you pretty much only have two stitches in knitting - knit and purl. Crochet can be much faster once you learn how to identify your stitches and know where you insert your hook for the affect you're trying to achieve. Yes, holding on to two needles might be a coordination nightmare to some, but having to learn all of those crochet stitches can be a nightmare to others. Plus, just to make things more complicated, you can throw stuff like sequence, beads or wire into the mix and have some people giving up on the craft all together. :-) :-) :-)
Yes, I do teach both crafts and have heard just about all of it. I especially love to teach the adventurous ones that have never picked up a crochet hook or knitting needles and learn to work with teeny beads, thread and hooks/needles for bead crochet or knitting. :-) :-) I've only had 3 students (out of more than 200) totally give up on me, so as long as you have a teacher that will not give up on you, it's possible to learn either craft and practice will make it all feel second nature and easy. :-)
I always tell my students to complete at least two bead crochet/knitting bracelets before deciding if they like it. The first one will always feel akward and difficult, but the second project should feel a little easier and more natural. Just don't give up too quick, okay?
Take care,
Pinka

I prefer crocheting, because I am quite horrible at knitting, so I always get dissapointed with myself if I knit. Simple as that!

I think the fabric you make from knitting is more useful, but I find that crocheting is faster. I guess in general, I prefer knitting.
