how to improve the blog's page rank.. can any help me out ?

I'm not too sure as well, as i'm not into blogging anymore.. All i know is that, u need to make sure your blog always appear among the top few searches in any search engines, in order to boost your page rank.. IF not, u can try to increase the traffic to your blog, by promoting it, and in a way, it will help to increase?? I dunno if i'm right, for i only saw it somewhere in other posts.. haha =D
