would you ever pick up a hitchhiker?

I always want to because they look so dejected and forlorn but I'm afraid to. Absolutely not when I have my kid in the car! You just never know about people anymore. I think about going back and giving them info about our local resources for temp shelter but I'm not sure how they might react. In the end I leave it alone.

Sometimes I feel sorry for them but I never pull over to pick them up...you never know what they're capable of.

I would based on which part of the town or city I am in. Also it depends on my first impression fo the guy. If the area is too secluded I might not pick him/her. But then it all depends on what kind fo mood you are in. Principally i am nto opposed to this idea. But, I may have exceptions.
