Found my college classmate on facebook....yepee

That's awesome! I also found a good friend of mine that had gone east to univesity and we had lost contact for several years. It was great to reconnect and now she has returned and we have booked weekly luncheons to talk and catch up. Yay for Facebook!!

Well...I also experienced the same thing, too. A few weeks ago, I tried to type my classmate's name in the search box and voila...!! I found him!! An old friend that I have been looking for...

That's good Zel. In Australia, Facebook is getting headlines, all for the wrong reasons. There have been some young girls killed and rapped as a result of meeting people they met on Facebook. Although this has nothing to do with reuniting with old friends, I was wondering if there have been some unfortunate meetings in The Philippines also?

I've found many long lost friends on Facebook too. My last work place, I used to add people I wanted to get to know or felt I could trust. Sadly most was in this circle that existed within the management and nothing was free from being passed around which can be a down side to the site. I removed so many people I shouldn't of added in the first place but two very good long friends have been found via the website. I really like Facebook for the fact it provides all this for free.

I love Facebook. I found an old neighbour of mine from my childhood that I have not seen in years. She and I still live in our hometown, and it was really nice to connect on Facebook again. I love how we can find people we know and love, regardless of where in the world they may be.

congratulations on finding your classmate. that is the best thing about facebook. or any networking site for that matter. it's great when you reconnect with old friends that you have lost contact with. even my mom loves that about facebook that she made my brother teach her how to use facebook. before, she would not touch our computer because she's afraid she might mess it up. but when she found her friends on facebook, she's always online now. i even tease her that she uses facebook more than i do! and yes, finding old friends is really something that makes yo go 'yesssss!' i've experienced this, although it was on friendster. when my friend from the first grade sent me a message on friendster. we were actually schoolmates until we graduated high school, but we were on rival campuses so we haven't been friends as we were growing up. but through friendster, we became closer.

hi there, well that's one thing i like facebook. we are able to find our long lost friends and was able to reconnect to them again. just like me, i am also very happy finding those friends that i have in the past, people that i haven't seen for a long time already. i am really happy seeing them again and have some updates about them. i thought its great finding college & highschool friends there, but when i saw my grade school friends, i am even more happy!

That's great!! I've found so many friends from the past on Facebooks - it's such a wonderful search tool and I can never get sick of Facebook for that. I had a friend when I started college (actually at my job) and we were such good friends for less than a year . . . then she got married and we lost touch of each other. I have been looking for her for years . . . but it was quite difficult as she has such a common name. Well, luckily we found each other on Facebook in a snap and it's been awesome reconnecting with her - as well as with others!

Congratulations, it is a mas of so many persons' anecdotes that can find his friends after many years and also relatives. It is one of the big possibilities that gives us facebook.

I agree... facebook is like bridging the gap between countries... i found a lot of my highschool and gradeschool friends there... and we now have a group where we share old pictures and update ourselves with what is going on in our lives... we also have regular get togethers and each is more fun than the previous one...

This is always a nice news to find our old friends via the net. I wish one day I could keep in touch with some of my good friends. I love China

One of my old classmates from Elementary school found me on facebook. It's been 45 years since we had seen each other....well she moved to Arizona...and I was coming down there on vacation so we hooked up! It was just like we had seen each other yesterday!

Facebook also helped me the same way it helped you a few weeks ago. I was also able to find the people I was looking for in my facebook account. Facebook can be good and bad at the same time. But most of the time, I think its bad.
