The Lakers and the Celtics rivalry has started again. The Lakers took game one in a one-sided game, that saw them outhustling the Celtics. The C's looks too old for the Lakers in game 1. This game 2 of the series will have a major edge of whosoever win this game will have the upperhand. I think that the Celtics will really make major adjustments to win game 2. But the Lakers will be dominant as ever.

Yes.. that is also my own presumption. Lakers will win the series in game 6 and Kobe is the MVP.

If Celtic play a very good defense like game 2, it's really hard for lakers..

One thing the Celtics did that really had nothing to do with age was play sloppy basketball.
Oddly enough, guys their age (let's face it: 30+ isn't 'old' - it's just not that young lol) should be able to do the fundamental things that keep games close.
Turnovers, needless fouls (although the refs were VERY whistle happy for both teams ) and simple boxing out would have put the Celtics in better position to keep the lead to single digits as the fourth quarter wound down.
They don't really outrun anyone to win. They swarm on the defense end, but they play hot potato on offense until a high percentage shot opens up.
This is the kind of thing that makes the Celtics so good, and the kind of thing that beat the Lakers in 08.
If I were Doc Rivers, I'd be telling my guys, "Hey, it's right there in front of you. We need to play better defense around the ball. Stop giving up layups! Shut off their penetration and look to get EVERY rebound! And on the offensive end, guys, you know what to do -- protect the dang ball, stop with the careless passes, and trust your teammates."
The Celtics have slayed two giants already this postseason, embarrassed them even. The odds-on favorite to win a title and certainly the favorites to show down in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Be careful throwing that "dominant" word around. You're letting the fan come through.

Yes and no.
More pressure may be on the Celtics to not fall 0-2, but with three home games coming up in a row, the Lakers cannot afford to lose either.
More to that, you know as well as I do, EVERY Finals game is a must-win situation. It's not like the Lakers get to glide through the game without any weight on their shoulders.
They know perfectly well that they cannot afford to go to Boston with a 1-1 tie.
If they want to beat Boston tonight, they will actually have to beat them down physically and run them ragged. Boston isn't going to have another sloppy, heartless performance.
Both teams will be playing to win, because both teams need to win. Even though LA is up 1-0, there's no way that they can afford a loss just as much as the Celtics can't afford it.

The odds and the pressure are all in the shoulders of the BOston Celtics. They should prove that they are a team on a mission if they take game 2 before the series shifts back to their homecourt.

It's the most importan game of all. If Lakers win, I think they are going to close up the series, if Celtics win, they might close it up at home. Three games in a row in Boston I think is very comfortable for the Celtics if they win tonight.
Otherwise they can say goodbye to the Championship, because I don't see them getting up of a 2-0 dissadvantage.
Cheers!
