Radio Therapy?

Apparently there is a technique used to tighten skin called Radio Therapy, which somehow heats up the lower levels of skin tissue, forcing it to create collogen, which tightens your skin. It is not surgery, and it's rather painless, so it would be a good alternative to skin reduction surgery.. which I'm contemplating getting done.
My question is, does this work? I'm a bit skeptical. I guess I don't understand the science behind it. If heating my skin was all it took to tighten it, why wouldn't they suggest just throwing a heating pad on your tummy for an hour a day or something?
Check out the website (which I found to be slightly less than informative) http://www.aenys.com/skin_tight.htm and tell me what you think. Do you think it would be worth my time and money to see if this could possibly work.. or should I just go with surgery which is guaranteed to work?

All they did way moisturize the skin and change the camera angle. Using a different camera angle can make all the difference in the world in photos. If you have enough extra skin to warrant skin reduction, no alternative collagen treatment is going to do it. Collagen injections can help puff out the skin in small areas for a few months, but that's about it.

This isn't a collogen injection, it's a procedure that is supposed to make your skin create it's own collogen. Like I said, I don't completely understand the science behind it, but I'd like to see if it works.

It's still temporary. They said you might need maintenance. If you need maintenance, you have to pay for it again and again. If you have lost a large amount of weight a skin reduction would be a permanent way to fix your body.

If it works, it could be very much worth your time and money. Can you find a place that will let you talk with somebody who has actually had it done?

This place offers a free consultation, so I can get more information there before making a final decision.

Hey kats! I've heard a little bit about this procedure, but not
enough to know for sure if it is good or not. I don't know
why you are thinking about surgery, but I am advising to make
sure you do some serious research. I worked for a Plastic
Surgeon and I will tell you these procedures and painful, have
long recovery times and you don't need them! Check out all
the options and know that they all are expensive and not all
just a little thing! Think long and hard before you act!

I've been researching it for years, but now that I've lost the weight I'm getting more serious about having something done.

I would think if this were true, it would also be in the news! So many ppl who lose lots of weight talk about surgery. If it were easier, I'm sure they'd do it. The photo of the arm on that site, simply looks as if the skin was formerly dry and has now been moisturized. The size of the hanging skin does not appear to have changed just the smoothness. Here's a wise old saying: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.....

I guess that is why I am so skeptical. I have searched for this on the web, it's actually called Accent Radio Frequency therapy. I've found a lot of other facilities that do this procedure, but no actual news sources or real information about it. Wonder why that is? I also just came upon a sight that said you may need maintenance treatments, so I guess that means it's not long lasting? Although surgery is very expensive.. it does sound like it's the cheaper way to go.

Maybe I think it could only make your skin worse. It's bad for your tissue.
