Isn't that just maddening when it happens, you feel totally powerless and frustrated rolled into one, when things happen out of our control we are left wondering how long we have to wait, and if we rely heavily on our internet/emails then it's like going cold turkey in a way. I am with Gmail and I have to admit they don't have many service problems and if they do they are only temporary, hopefully yours kicks back into operation soon, maybe it's the heat? Of course I went from July to October once without the entire INTERNET, and I nearly went stir crazy!

Yes I have. I can't remember the longest period of time. It seems like I remember once when it was a day but, I hadn't tried to get into my email on that day so, I didn't even know about it until someone else told me that it happened. If I had needed to get into my email then, that would have had me going bonkers. I would have been frustrated. So, it is a good thing that I didn't need to that day. LOL!

Hi Cortjo, As you were blissfully inaware of the problem that was good, but yes like you say if you had of tried to get in and had an important email to either receive or send it would have been very frustrating. I was up and running again by the morning but still working hrough the back log of emails sortingspam and junk to importnat notifications etc. Huggles. Ellie :D

actually it happened to day with face book, after going to the log in.. it said that it was suspended.. after several attempts and different log in statuses finally got into it.. very frustrating as wanted to send a message and was pushed for time as had to go to work... it took a couple hours but blasted inconvenient... and technology pah... sometimes it is quicker to walk, write a letter or even light a bonfire and send smoke signals... but what do you do ?? LOL

Hi Artizan, Yes it always happens when you are limited for time too or waiting for an importnat email etc. I have problems too with FB from time to time but never really known my email to do this until this week, back up and running now though so guess just another glitch in cyberspace lol. I have and i do get frustrated which actually makes me chuckle. Not sure how old you are, but for most of us, the internet is new and hasn't been around forever. Used to be AOL was the only game in town and social networking before were these archaic bulletin boards like crunchland and before that - nothing. If you wanted mail you got penpals and wrote to them and waited for them to write you back - which I did!
I don't use my email anymore I always forget.

Hi Artemis, You don't use email, wow, that is unusual. I am of the age where we used to write letters and before mobile phones too but have become more relient on the internet as a form of communication as when I think to phone someone it is either too early or too late or they will be at work etc but I can send an email while the thought is there at anytime nightor day. Hi Jill, This morning I found I could log into my emails again but it was a pain last night in fact it froze and then went down after I had answered one discussion from email of yours which is why it was so long before answer to other discussion 'vacation' as had to findthroughfriends started on the Lot later. Just going through the back log now as you me so many otherwise. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi ellie! I think it was some time last week or weekend that the
same thing happened to me and it drove me crazy! I am used to
responding first from my emails! So, after trying for awhile
I gave up and went to mylot's "hot discussions" and started
there! It was down for quite awhile so when I got tired of
responding I gave up, shut down and by the next day it was
all back to normal!

I hate it when things like that happen especially when you are all set out to work online and something is broken so you can’t or it takes a lot longer to do what you want to do! I have never had my emails down but I do recall the screen froze as emails where coming through and I couldn’t do anything. I could go to other sites but my email account was well and truly frozen for about 40 minutes. To this day I don’t know if it was just me but it was so darn annoying!

I haven't experienced having my email be 'temporarily unavailable'. Probably I've just been lucky that way. Once, about 3 months ago there was an issue statewide with internet availability. That was frustrating and lasted for a few days. During that time, not only was it difficult to get online anywhere, but once you did it was slower than dirt.

I hate this message when it appears in front of me on my screen I feel to give a punch to the screen because just after the message when I refresh my page then it turns normal so I don't understand why it had to show me this message so much.

Hi Shibham, I tend to answer discussions through email of friends then will log in to see what else is happening as if you go into friends started you can easily miss some. Oh I get can't open site to server problem often, this would allow me to use aol but not to get my emails from them. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Ellie, that is annoying isn't it? This happened to me last year sometime. I couldn't access my account for maybe four or five days. I went on the forums for my mail provider but I couldn't get any answers at all. I think I posted a discussion about it on here to find out if anyone else was having problems, but I think it was only me!
Then my access just came back as mysteriously as it went away! I hope yours comes back soon. We've come to rely on things like email, and when we don't have it it's frustrating isn't it?

Hi Liquorice, I hope it comes back soon too as I receive so many emails it will take a while to go through if any longer than this evening, I alredy have a fair few I need to respond back to but as was out nearly all day haven't had the chance. Can't imagine what it must have been like for you to go without for days. Huggles. Ellie :D
