Muggy weather can be brutal, so how do your stay cool during these times

I know most of us stay indoors with the AC going and so do I. But I find that I don't like to be cooped inside either; it is so nice outside. I still go sit by the pool or take a walk. Of course water, water and more water. I make sure I have plenty of ice cubes ready and when I go out I fill my bottle with ice only as it won't take long for the ice to melt and at least it will stay colder longer.
