This is a story of mine which is true, it goes like this; Near Christmas 2009 i had some final exam coming up of which i had no confidence in passing. A day before the exam i studied long and hard but my brother needed me to help him with his Filming project. The project was a music video of which was filmed in a local church in the centre of town. After several hours of help my brother sorted out his filming and we approached one of women who worked at the church (same woman who gave permission to use the church for filming purposes). We gave her big 10 note for a donation and thanked the woman, she smiled and blessed us. The time was ticking and i told my brother to hurry up so i can get home and study however we was hungry so we decided to grab something to eat. After we came out we saw a homeless guy who was rather ill and hungry so i decided to buy him a sandwich. so on the way home to the bus stop we found out that we only had enough for one ticket knowing that it was late and i needed to study my brother offered to give me the money for the ticket however i opted to walk home. After getting home i studied till midnight before sleeping. The next day i got a 75% (ironically the exact percentage to pass) on the finals and passed. what do you believe? Do you believe it was just the studying that got me the grade? or The good karma from helping others? or was it both?

For me it was both...because if you werent helping someone you could have get higher than 75% but you helped someone and with the grades and the things you helped with someone you got alot of good feelings right? It always feels so great to helped someone, whether they are abusing you or really needed your help because on the end the things you did in helping will come back to you 100x more.So lets help people, hehe

Yes totally, i think helping others really boosts your confidence and i think that is what happened. Because you do feel proud after helping those who need it most me and my family are known for suggesting events to help the poor and needy.

I would say its a combination of both. Good karma and also because of studying that is why you got 75%. I guess if you did not study till midnight and you still get 75% I guess that is was considered as good karma and you are so lucky to passed the examination. I would like also to add that we should not try to helo others because we are expecting a good karma. But yours is really a good one you did not only help your brother but you also help others the most stranger in your life and you did not expect in return.

Yes i agree i really dont believe in chasing good karma but i think its great to help those who are in a worser situation as me. That alone is the greatest feeling of all.

Absolutely! I believe in karma, both good and bad - whatever you sow, that is what you reap. when you do good things, it will come to you and when you do bad things, and so it will also be done to you. Believe in the power of this world that whatever you give is returned, sometimes fast, quick, and more often it is actually in another form that we may not even recognize it.

Karma is the thing which if you believe, it exists, if not, it inexists. So if you believe it, keep on believe. I don't believe karma, but I believe this thing can affect one psychologically. So you can say good karma helps you. It's all right.

It is hard to judge which side would make you pass the exam. One saying, god helps those who help themselves. Your hard-working is an important factor that makes you pass. Another important factor is that you distract your attention from study, and then you feel relax from helping others. When you got home, you concentrate on your own study. No time to worry about if it would be failed. The key is your mentality and attitute. That's my view.Hope it can help
