Hello Mylotters! My cell phone is Samsung i-780. It's really very good because it's like a computer. I can save my files: word, excel, powerpoint, which I need for my study. Unfortunately, it's not ringing. I don't know what causes it but it says that the ringtone is corrupted. I tried choosing different tones but the same message appear. Anyone knows how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

Yours is windows mobile pocket PC. Go to setting, under that select system and select clear storage and enter the code shown in screen. The phone will reset to factory setting. Hope this will solve your problem.

I can't find the clear storage. What I have is hard reset. it says that if I tap the button, all settings and data stored will be removed. is that it?

Yes that it. Before that remove your memory card and backup all your data from phone memory like contacts, messages etc. Otherwise you will lose all those.

Does your cellphone uses memory cards like micro-SD cards in storing music files? Check if your memory card is ravaged by a virus. Have it scanned by your computer anti-virus. Now, if the same problem persist, try visit a cellphone technician and have your cellphone reprogrammed.

maybe what you can do is let the technician check your phone. i think this happens when your phone get corrupted with a lot of the files we get from the internet. phones have their own version of viruses too. im sure just by checking the phone techinicians would be able to tell you what your problem is.

I have a Samsung phone as well, but not the model you have. Mine is an Omnia 2. I had that problem with one ringyonr yhsy I downloaded off the internet, and it ended up being corrupted as well, and I really don't know why, as it seemed okay when I got if off the internet, but I put it on my phone, and it ended up being corrupted. I never downloaded anymore, as I just decided to use one that came with the phone. I really can't help you with the problem you are having, but maybe someone else might be able to. Take care, and happy mylotting.

How long have you had this problem? If its fairly recent back up your files on a memory card (or computer) and reset the phone to its factory defults. If there is a cruption in the system this will clean it out. If this does not resolve the problem contact your privder for more troubleshooting tips.

My friend already told me to restore the factory settings. However, I can't find it anywhere!
