It's funny that you put it that way because I am STILL going to school. But no longer as a student but a teacher. I do teach at our University and I see how students are.
I think should I ever enroll again it's going to be to take up my Doctorate Degree. But for now, I still like the feeling and the challenge of teaching kids at the same time mustering my proficiency of the subjects that I'm teaching.
I did have thought of taking up Law though. I have a lot of friends who took up Law after our graduation. It's just that now that I'm older and still exposed to the Academe and the real world (since I do have another part time job outside school) I find that taking up law just satisfies the 'ego' but doesn't really have much bearing altogether.
Yes, it is indeed nice and 'prestigious' to be a lawyer or being called Attorney, but just look at the many people who go through all those schooling and work. How many do you truly see have succeeded in it? Further, you cannot practice law away from you country because the law of each country is different. It's not flexible.
I'd suggest though that you try to think about it deeper. Like, plan, as to what would you do next? Before truly deciding. Think beyond the prestige. Think beyond the title. What's your 'edge' if indeed you became a lawyer someday?
Good luck!

Well, I'm nineteen years old right now, so I think I should be interested in staying in school. I'm at my two year college right now, studying to be an elementary school teacher. I plan on transferring to a four year college in the next year or so. Schooling is necessary at my age in order to get a good career and succeed in life.

Dear friend,
I would love to be there it is something really enjoyable and funny provided the teacher would be a small child. Moreover may be I could just overcome of those missing movements in my school days. May be age wise I may be the same but at least a part of my heart would be there as a child. I do also like to have my those old school class mates too.

I'm twenty-one and I think I'm at the point where I'm about done with school. Currently, I have only a year left before I receive my Bachelor's degree. I had originally intended to pursue a Master's degree, but I'm just so burnt out on school right now. And, not only that, but in the field I'm intended to go into, a degree isn't REALLY required at all. I'm just going for it as a safety net. So after this next year, I'm done and going to venture out into the world.

i'm 20 yrs old and now i still want to study because in my course "nursing" you must be updated every year. it is very important to us because we are in the field of medical and health so we should be careful on what to advise and what to give to our patient. learning everyday is fun. you will learn lots of knowledge and skills. it depends on your course. if you like it and love your course, you will realize that you will not be tired and sick of studying it. because you know in your mind that your course is your choice.

i finished a technical course and already working. i also have a great family now. i wanted to go back studying so someday i could be an engineer. in my present job, i thought of becoming a lawyer. but with my present financial status and thinking about the education of my kids, i forget about those dreams and leave them or pass them those dreams of mine. besides over forty, i guess going back to school is not a hindrance, but when someone will finance my studies, i will surely grab it.

I'm turning 32 soon & I am still very much eager to study again...I love the idea of being at school...I know it's not yet too late for us for I have known some older individuals...older than us who are still taking courses in spite of their age. My understanding about being at school is that it's open to all ages as long as one has the passion to upgrade his/her standards. If I am to choose a course to take up I will enroll units in education, and I'll take up my master's degree...& if possible I will also take a short term course in AUTOCAD at some I.T. School. For now I need to save for that desire...perhaps, after giving birth to our 3rd child I'll realize all my desire...

Yes I do I still want to enroll even though I already graduated, I want a computer related course.
Because when I was enrolling in my first year college last 2005 I want computer course but my mom told me not to since all my brother already take computer courses so I decided to take a electronics course.
That's the reason why I still want to study.

What I mean is that, i am not ashamed to go to school though I am quiet matured now. Learning and studying is a continuous process, therefore, let us not be discouraged in going to school though we are already in a matured age

If there's a will there's a way. Have you tried night school? I know someone who worked as a maid through high school and college, all night school. I did not know that was possible here in the Philippines, but now I know better. Of course she is younger than you, but it took her a long time, about 12 years to finish because she also had to support her family in the province.

It is never too late to go to school as long as you have time and money to do it. Even I, I really do want to go back to school and study Psychology, but I don’t have money for that. Although there are short courses I don’t have money. If you really want to go back to school I wish you pursue business administration. Moreover, do you know being back to school will gain confidence, so if you really want to go schooling, make it happen.

well i am still young so studying in my age is common. But there is no reason why age will hinder us from learning more.

A few years ago, I took on a new degree to advance my education. That was more than 10 years after I graduated from Engineering. And that was a few years after I already started working.
Unfortunately, I had to stop when my 2nd kid was born. I had to do some babysitting chores. I already did about 30 of 45 units.
Maybe next year I would get a chance to finish it off.

Even I am aiming towards 30 and would be difficult for me to join school again. Given chance I will go for MBA in finance because that is my area of interest. I am planning to enroll for MBA soon, hope I will do it.
I will not go to school but it can be done without going school.

If I could I would go to school forever. lol. I have always loved school. i just love learning any and everything. I don't think you're ever too old to go back to school or continue your education. I originally wanted to be an OB/GYN. I loved the whole process of pregnancy and just how life is created, but I knew I would not keep having kids to go thru that process. But adding everything up I wouldn't be completely thru with school until by oldest son was graduating highschool. I'm too soft hearted and coldn't imagine missing so much out of their lives. So I started majoring in Nursing, but with my husband being in the Navy and frequent deployment, I had no family or friends to help me with my kids while I went to school, so I started on my Associates of Arts Degree. Then i started to think of another major and decided on Accounting, so I'm finishing the last few classes on my Associates of Science in Accounting. I'm transferring to finish my Bachelors in Business Administration in Accounting. I have also decided in minor in Finance. I have also picked what Masters program I plan to go to which is a MBA in Accounting and a MSA in Forensic Accounting. My husband is also attending school for teaching and I can't help but read his books and. I am obsessed with school. I try to encourage everyone who thinks they can't do it. I have a fulltime job working for the Courts, I am a fulltime college student, I have a 6years, 3 year old and 9 month old, and still pull some time to share with my husband. It is possible and money it out there. you know the saying, "Where there is a will there is a way". I am the first person in my family to go to college and I hope to push my children to exceed further then myself.
