Hi Yathini !! ,
It's Nice to Hear that you care for Animals ... Myself owning a Pet dog , I could understand how these animals needs care and attention , just like us...
I've seen Many Hospitals in US have Blood Banks for Vets and they also have a seperate hospitals for Vets ... St.Louis Clinic for Vets is One such...
I see that You are from India and that too I Think you're frm TN just as me ( juz guessed from your name !! :P ).
In India ,we don't give much importance to pet care ,With awareness for the same growing and also many people coming forward to have pets ...it's necessary to have proper Vet care centers ...
Coming to Blood Banks for Vets , A constructive step has been taken , that too in my Home city Chennai , with the TamilNadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) opening a exclusive blood bank for dogs . It's in Vepery (News courtesy :dogspot.in)
It's a wonderful News for Animal Lovers and I think they should spread the awareness for the same.
Thanks for Opening such a topic , and made me know of such a valuable info..

Perhaps it's their new protocol?
blood are necessary for any accident especially when there is a sever blood loss due to an arterial cut or severe organ trauma.
Animals are already part of the system of Humans... They were already provided of laws and guidelines just like humans, so it is just fair enough to give them a justifiable treatment in terms of hospitalization and medical care...
Perhaps you might ask why my reply is like this, it is simply because I'm Pro-Life... much of it is reflected with my profession... being a Nurse...
