hey lanie,i think you would have to go consult a doctor,to be safe,my dear!
i haven't had periods with 9 to 10 days. my longest is 6 days i guess.
do you feel okay or a bit dizzy when it lasts 10 days?
i have known a friend of my sister who had period within 2 weeks and she was felling like loosing all her blood. i guess you might have to consult doctor to be sure, okay?

I don't feel but irritated cause I don't like the feeling of having menstruation at all. I know I have to bear this cause I am a girl and this is the prize of being a girl. I am not comfortable with it. sometimes I feel like loosing a blood too whenever I feel the blood likes I am on pee. I am really a less maintenance person from the start, I don't really go to a doctor not until I feel it's infectious or something worse. I only go to the doctor when I had a problem with my stomach and it takes almost 3 months before deciding to see a doctor. Anyways, thanks for sharing, now I know its normal.

Yes very true, its so expensive to go to the doctor nowadays. I am the only one paying for the bill from my salary so I cannot afford to always consult doctor but like I told you, I know learned that health is wealth. You can't be rich if you are sick, you cannot reach your goal if you are sick. I guess we really have to invest in our health but if you don't have much money there are other way to overcome it. Just be good at finding ways. thanks my friend.

my friend,it's easier to be safe, always remember that!
but sometimes i'm also like you, when i feel okay i just don't do consult doctors.
cause one of the reasons is i have no money for that, and it's just a waste of time and effort. but we people sometimes are hard headed and don't take things seriously.
as you've said it takes three months before deciding to go see a doctor.
which is sometimes 50-50 chances. sometimes,we'll never know, what will happen next.
it's better to be prepared than never!

Are you single or married? I heard that for married/mother, their menstruation last for 3-5 days.

It would be best for you to see a gynecologist to have you checked. There are factors to consider like, how heavy is the flow or how light is the flow of your menstruation.

I think you're normal. Periods differ for every girl. Since girls come in different heights, weights and have different genetics, our periods differ too. Mine lasts about a week too. No less than 5 days though
ever. My flow isn't heavy at all either. I'm a skinny and short girl.

Ok thanks, I am skinny and petite. On my 1-5 days, it a heavy flow that is why I keep changing my sanitary napkin for 4 times a day.

i used to have irregular flow... it last the same as yours.. and sometimes it would visit me once or twice a year... my mom let me take iron supplement... but then i believe it was just a complication from thyriodism.. after a year of my operation my mens has started to become regular but still it will last long...
i guess its just normal..
and oh, when i started taking birth control pill.. my mens has become regular and last only like 3-5 days..

Is thyriodism about problem in Thyroid? I don't want to use pills cause I am not married yet, I'm afraid my mother will see the pills and might suspect me for using it as contraceptive pills and not for menstruation problem. But I guess I'll just let this, maybe because of the medicine/probiotics I take for my stomach problem that is why it lasted over one week. I forgot to tell everyone that my regular lasted for 6-7 days but not over one week. thanks

well, if you take in contraceptive pills, its best to have a check up... i wouldnt really suggest you for that.. but i would suggest for an iron supplement..

My period lasts for a maximum of four days. It is different for every girl. Some have it as quick as three days and some are like you. I don't think there's anything wrong with that but if it really bothers you a lot, I suggest you talk to a doctor. I used to have really painful and irregular menstruation and someone told me that pills can help regulate it, so I bought over the counter birth control pills and it worked for me.

My menstruation usually 3 - a week advance from my previous and I am regular. I've seen on tv that a pill can lessen the flow and can relieve pain, same brand as the contraceptive pills.

As far as I remember, the longest I've had was 4-7 days... it's normal for us (women) to discharge the brownish color which is "old blood".

Thank you for clarifying about the brownish color, I thought there is something wrong inside of me. Atleast I know its normal.

My period usually lasts 5 or 6 days. When I was younger my periods were very irregular, sometimes there were 8 weeks between them and sometimes there were only 3 weeks between them, but they have become less irregular since that time. I read somewhere that most periods last about 3 and 7 days, so a period that lasts about week doesn't sound abnormal, and I don't think that you have anything to worry about. But if you are in doubt it is probably best to ask your doctor.

my monthly period lasts for only 3-4 days sometimes sorter than that specially if i have low blood pressure. for your case, i think it okay. i have a friend who experiences the same thing with you. she has her period for longer than a week but it's normal to her. monthly period may really differ in person.

Oh I wish I also have this short. Is it true that if you become a mother, the days of menstrual period lessen? like it stays 3-4 days only? Thanks for sharing, I guess I can now feel relieve.

My period is usually constant at 6 days every month. The brownish colour comes during the last 2 days or so, apparently its all the older blood, I don't think it's anything to worry about! I had a friend have it for 2 weeks I think, and that was because she was on some hormone medication. If it stays too long, maybe check with your ob gyn to see if everything's okay.
