I have paid for an internet dating service -- eHarmony. I did it because I wasn't finding quality people to date, and I thought that eHarmony would be good. It has all those questionairres so I thought that would help weed out the people I wouldn't be compatible with. eHarmony was a waste of my money. I didn't even get one date from it!!! I think everything is actually so overanalyzed, that it narrows the search and eliminates a lot of people from corresponding with you. What a pain! Since I've tried to make new friends offline, hoping that would lead somehow to some dates. I actually did find someone and now I'm really happy!!
