You are just not going to land a data entry job easily. Most of the jobs are in medical or legal transcription. If you can type fast, (min 80 wpm) you might have a shot. Think about typing in another way, do you have or would you want to get education to do transcription? I did look into a career of being a scopist. A scopist will transcribe the court reporters ticket from the court proceeding to paragraph form. There are online schools and check your local court reporting school to see if there are any classes. You don't have to learn everything a court reporter does and there is software that you can use.

Most of the legitimate data entry jobs have to go through bidding process before you can get a nice paying data entry project. Just use odesk and see if you can get data entry jobs, they have plenty of available jobs for you.

(so you will need a facebook account). They provide many onine jobs and you would find data entry jobs there. Most importantly, not only the require no fee before taking jobs, they are paying every day (except holiday and weekends). So, if you wonder if this is a scam, you may try to take one or two simple job and wait for the payment. Also, you may search on myLot and you will find that this is an honest site.

I've come across data entry jobs on sites such as Mturk and microworker where they have images and they want them typed out. it's very repetative but it does pay, not a lot but some! every penny counts, or every cent, or whatever!
