Hi everyone, I'm writing about this topic simply because my curiosity upon it. As we all may know that European Union seems to face such a tough time after some of its members are fighting with debts, crisis, or whatever it is called. First country I heard of was all about Greece. Everyone might have known it since months ago. The second one is Portugal. While Spain sits on the third on the list. Yesterday I read a newspaper and surprisingly there was an article about dropped-American Index due to fear of fresh-to-be-down Hungary, another member of European Union.
My question is, why is it happening in sequence ??? For me, it's more like drama rather than natural-accident. Do you think any other EU members to join the crisis-club? And when do you think they can getaway from the crisis?
Please share all!

These questions worries most of the people. In my opinion, days will come where we remember this time as a difficult one we had to pass through to learn and realize some things which we wouldn't have done otherwise. This financial crisis definitly will end, but this end and recovering from these hard times will last maybe comes late for many people and the consequences might be very cruel. So I think that not only the politics and governments, but also every particular person should try put his or her part to do their best to end as soon as possible with this situation. One person might be able to do more than another one, but we all can do something, even a bit. As I live in Spain, I follow the inside problems with an extreme interest and I think that our politics and government needs an urgent change, as the answers we recieve from our government to the financial problems are coming very late and those answers are not well recieved as they seem to be uncomplete. Hopefully, we won't see us in the same situation as Greece!

Hey there, thank you for giving comments on my discussion. Ow, knowing that you live in Spain, how is everything going at the moment? At the moment when financial crisis is still a hot news throughout the country? I just read news earlier this morning that some workers did stop their works as a protest act. I could still see that Euro (as used by EU's 27 countries) were still depressed, might be the worse since the last couple of years. Even in 2002, when Euro was 'new', it was higher than its value now!

That's right, workers from public services like schools, hospitals, guildhall... went on strike today because the spanish president announced a few days ago that he want to abreviate their salary. Shortening of salaries and increasing the taxes are ones of the president's messure to fight against the financial crisis. More than four million people are unemployed in Spain. Here you can feel already the consequences on the street as people are getting angry and more agressiv, illnesses like depression and anxiety are growing. Here you feel the tension when people are talking. They are getting quite nervios. It's really not nice at the moment. There are people who would like to acelerate the next elections as they are putting all their hopes and aspirations on the other party to give them the oportunity to do things better.

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that. I completely understand what you mean. Especially in the time like this, people tend to be terrified by the current crisis situation.
Ow, Spanish president? Does Spain have president? All I know is that Spain is a kingdom and therefore they have king as well as prime minister. And about the election you mentioned, will it be done for prime minister?
How is the difference going there? Does the price of anything go up, or do they remain constant? But 4 million unemployed people is not really bad, especially if Spain itself is of multimillion people.
