I just got on MSN.com and on the main slideshow, an article caught my eye. Clean the birds, or kill them? With the recent oil spill, we of course know that the wildlife is being affected. The article talks about how some scientists say that we should just leave oil soaked wildlife (birds especially) to die, because their chances of survival after the event are slim anyway. But is that morally right? Letting the animals die without trying to help them at all, when it is the fault of humans that this is happening at all?
I say not. I say that no matter cost or the chances of the animal's survival after release from cleansing, it needs to be done. We have to try to do something to counteract the damage that has been and is still being done. Sitting idle is cruel.
What do you think? Should humans be doing what they can for wildlife affected by the oil spill?
PS: Here's the article link.

No it is not right we should not kill them we should give them a little bit of a chance to live and anyways if we wanna kill them we should just let them sit there. They are just as much apart of the ecosystem as we are.

I completely agree. Some people say that we SHOULD just let them sit there and die. But I think that since we have the power to help, we should.

Unless we clean up the oil the same clean bird will end up a mess again.
