What is your opinion about the new craze of painting dogs?

I am a huge animal lover, and I think I have mixed feeling about this. If the paint is harmful to the dogs, I am totally against it. If the dog shows that he/she does not want to be painted, then it should not be done. But I must say it certainly looks cute. w

Hi Oldchem1!. Its new trend with white dog, they offer it with safe paint that can be loose with bathing. I don't mind if other dye their dog but for me is wasting money and time for something not really needed by my dog.

Hi Oldchem, Ridiculous, just another form of animal cruelty. Animals are to be loved and treatedlike one of the family not put on show as a fashion accessory. Huugles. Ellie :D

i think it is just bored people with no life trying to entertain themselves. i prefer to do it on Photoshop. scan your pet's photo, go into Photoshop, and color it different colors and give it different looks. i once did it to my photograph. i scanned my picture, and in Photoshop, i gave myself different hair and eye color for fun. i even changed my hairstyle.

"Cruel?" How so? Is the paint toxic? What?? Dogs don't know or care what they look like! It's a DOG, for pity's sake! All it wants is love, food, shelter & play, & if it's not neutered, a girlfriend occasionally. And he has no preferences what she looks like, either, & she's of the same opinion! I think you are anthropomorphizing. I'm sure this doesn't feel cruel to a dog. Now, beating it, starving it, feeding it garbage..those are deserving of the term "cruel." Ok, fine ... the idea really is a cute one, and quite creative at that, but I tend to STRONGLY feel that doing this to an animal (any animal) is inhumane. Animals DO have feelings just like we do, and I'm sure that making a mockery of them hurts those feelings just as much as it would hurt ours if we were the ones being used as puppets the way they are. STOP MAKING CLOWNS OF THESE ANIMALS!

I just think it's plain weird. I particularly, hate it when i see dogs in clothes as well. I don't think thats cute! Things people do to their poor pets! but whatever as long as its not hurting them. Not so sure if the dyes all that safe tho? are they animal tested? hahaha ;)
