What effect did this book have on you?

I hear alot of different stories about people's thought processes after reading this book. I know that I myself went a tad nuts after reading it as I was a stressed teen. I remember questioning reality after reading this book. I know for a while I thought I was Johnny Truant which I know is a rather extreme concept but of course I had an extreme reaction to the book being weak minded at the time. Let me know what effect the book had on you.
