I suggest server/client application is something interesting that is capable of fetching clients full information. =)

if you really want to do some projects that are unique in networking means then am suggesting you take some minimal level implementation on some protocal features.. ok .. i will give you an idea.. try to create a project that implements the non availble feature of User Datagram Protocal.. the requirement is , you need to create a project which enables teh acknowledgement for the unreliable broadcasts via user datagram protocal.

i suggest you do with the "clound" tech. i think it is the lastest topic in the IT
