Do you sometimes wish there is more Weekends than Weekdays?

There are times, usually if I feel exhausted, I do wish that weekend is more rather than weekdays.
The reason, sometimes, I find it quite unfair because weekday consists of 5 working days wherein weekend has consist of only 2 days. Then the 2 days will just be contributed to household chores such as going to supermarket, washing and ironing. For all you know, you again feel exhaust due to these chores and at the end of it, you only have 1 day to take your break. And that, the remaining day is quite not enough to gain another strength for the next working day.

I totally agree with you, but 3 days for weekends and 4 days for weekday. In the weekend, I always have lots of things to do and don't have enough time to rest and feel very tired for the next working day.
beside, 2 days of weekends moves very fastly than the relevant working days.

Hi, airshelia. I agree. The weekends go by so quickly. Once all of the household chores are done, that takes up so much time of the weekend. And no one has anytime to properly rest up. Our resting time is spent cleaning and doing all kind of errands. It would be nice if we could have more days added on the weekends.

I think the raio of weekdays to weekends is appropriate where it is. If we had more weekends thsn weekdays, we could lose appreciation for them. We work hard throughout the weekdays. Looking forward to the weekend is life's sweet reward.

I feel like that everyday. I get about 4 hours of sleep at night because of my and my husbands schedule and with the kids. I feel like i'll use the weekends to catch up on rest, but it the only time we really have with all of us together because I work during the day and my husband works at night. So i feel bad when the weekend comes because i want to give all of my attention to my family and my school work when they're resting. I feel like it all flys by so fast and I dread starting the week all over again. i just keep telling myself I have to look at the bigger picture of when I get done with school and so does my husband, then we will have a more stable schedule and more time for everything including rest. Good luck on catching those ZZZZZZZZZZZZZzz

I agree! I don't know why we have not implemented a 8 day week yet. One where we could work 5 days, then have 3 days off. Because then we would have a single day that is untouched by a working day. For instance, saturday is touched by friday, sunday is touched by monday, we should have another day inbetween saturday and sunday.

Hey there! I know how you feel and I totally agree with you. You barely have time for yourself during weekdays and on weekends you end up doing the things that really need to be done, not necessarily what you want. Sometimes I even wish that weekends would be at least three days so that you would have that one day for yourself where you can do the things that you want that have been deprived during weekdays.

Yes I agree with you there are really a lot of times when I myself had wish that there are more weekends than weekdays. Especially when I was in grade and high school. When I was in college the days were reduced to four so I had three days to spend doing homeworks and house chores. After I graduated and got a job, again the number of rest days went back to two days only. And not always weekend but I have tried some rest days that fell on weekdays! So I was really confused with days and felt quite abnormal because I spend Saturday and Sundays working in the office. My wish is that there will be 4 working days but 10 hours each day plus one hour lunch so total of 12 hours. That will mean no overtime. And three days which are Friday to Sunday will be the day off. Overtime should be offered to those on rest days. In my previous company that was offered but not in my account so I have not tried it yet. Some say it is good because resting for three days is enough to make you really recharged on the next four days of work. Some say it is tiring because if 8 hours is tiring, what more if you will work for 10 hours a day? In my opinion, four-day work week is more practical when you are going to think about the clothes you will use, money you will spend in transportation and not wasting your time with some not-so-important things. Because I believe that after working for 11 hours a day, all you want to do is to go home, eat and sleep. This may not apply to all but in most singles I think this will do. So still keep the 5 day work week for those who does not like the 4 day work week.

I think 2 days a week for rest days is enough. I can say this because I'm still single and I live alone so I don't have to take care of anyone aside from myself. What advise I can give to you is always have some time for yourself. Its really not impossible. After all the chores every weekend allot 1 to 2 hours for relaxation like going to a spa, massage parlor or anything that is fun for you. Or if time will really not permit take a vacation. The only hard part here is convincing your boss to give you a day or 2. Good luck.

i agree! like me, i am still a student, it is really tiring and stressful to go to school everyday, then during weekends, we have to do all our assignments or homework given by our teachers which is a lot, then when it's already sunday, the feeling of waking up early again for school the next day is kind of irritating. just by thinking of it makes me tired. i just wish that at least friday is included or can be considered as part of the weekend

Yeah, I always wish there are more weekends than weekdays. Actually, I'm looking for more holidays.
I don't think it's fair for the company to give us so many holidays, otherwise the tasks will never be completed. I do like some companies actually having the options that you just need to work 40 hours a week. You choose your own working hours in a week, say you can work for 3 days, each day you work for 13-14 hours. Then you can take the rest of the 4 days in the week off. How nice if I can do that.

i don't think so. i am used to this set up. i don't really have weekends per se since i still work during those days but i can have my break anytime i want. i also bond with my family anytime and anywhere.

I think something different that. I want 2 days wekendds and plus I want 1 day leave in between of weekdays also. By this way, person will recover of tension and workload which he got in 2 days.

Not sometimes, I always feel there should be weekend two times a week, first on wednessday and again on Friday :)
Also, sometimes these two days are like a week when there is nothing to enjoy. So its ok for now, will adjust, let's see if we van get 2 weekends in future.

There are times I really wish that's the case. But a few weekdays means less pay at work. LOL. My work being graveyard is really draining a lot of my energy... Being a mother at the same time, I need to still get up to give time for my daughter. I can't sleep the whole day and neglect her you know.... I sometimes feel weekends are just so short and ends so soon and then you have to work again. I feel bad sometimes I have to work 4 hours every other weekend.. Its part of the job so it means less time to rest and stress. Anyways, I still feel blessed because I have a job although there are times that we just can't help but complain but its all just a part of it... That's life....

well,to think of it..that is a brilliant idea ya know..seeing my mum and me feel tired doing the chores and it seemed like would never finished made us exhausted the whole day..and the next day the same routine will be repeated..i think working people surely agree with this..and there will be no objection..unless that people will take advantage of it and might become a lil bit lazy than they used to be..but some of us do need the rest
