For while, I haven't received those solicitation mail from those credit cards. In the recent weeks, once again, those mails appear in my mailbox. I just taken care one of my credit card debt, and I still have another one, and a loan to look after. Although those solicitation mails have attractive offer, I won't want to risk myself to jeopardize my credit score again. So, even though 0% APR for however long, I just tear those letters, and trash them. Don't fall for another credit debt again.

I am not sure if you live in the United States but if you do try one of these methods to opt out so you will stop getting the credit card offers.
OptOutPrescreen.com which is the only official website from which you can do this. Do not trust other websites offering to do this for you. You can also call 1-888-5-OPTOUT.
I know that it does raise your credit score. This info was passed on to me by the mortgage lender we had gone through to buy the house.

I have very little problem with credit card companies sending a moderate amount of credit card offers. They are what they are. They are just offers. Nothing is being forced on anyone. If a consumer doesn't want a new credit card just rip it in half and toss it in the trash, no harm done. I realize some people are irresponsible and don't use credit properly, but if no system ever works perfectly. The majority of people can manage debt sufficiently to not be harmed substantially. Credit is a necessary evil. As long as the government keeps adequate regulations on big credit card companies they are a net benefit.
