Yesterday I went to SM South Mall to have a blueprint and plotting as requested by our client, it was a total of 161 sheets for blueprint and 6 sheets for plotting. I went there past 1:00pm and I said I can wait until it finished. So I wait there for hours spending time to window shopping and watch kids in ice skating rink. It was almost 5:00 pm and I finally got bored so I decided to go back in the office. I felt tired but I have to return for the plans, thank god my 2 officemates help me to get the plans. I still deliver it to our clients so I rushed to their office, my gosh the blueprints are so heavy and I only commute from our office. I get in the clients office at 8:38 pm, I felt so tired and sleepy. Did you experience the same? How did you handle it?

I can partially symapathize with you lanie but I can actually BEAT that story. At least you were able to roam the mall. I was once stranded at a McDonalds Restaurant on the highway for twelve hours with my father, older brother and a friend of mine. Doesn't sound too bad huh? Well this place was more boring than listening to a session in the House of Commons! I was just getting ready to poke out my own eyes with a fork just for something to do, when help arrived. We had been on our way to Montreal in a mini-bus when it broke down and it was either hitch a ride all the way back home with our driver or wait at Mickey D's. It seemed like a good choice at the time. Still, in retrospect, I suppose it cured me of ever willingly deciding to eat at the restaurant. Come to think of it... I've only eaten at a McDonald's once since that happened- seven years ago. I guess that the experience has been good for my waistline if nothing else! :D

Now that's more sad to know. I can say you are a survivor. For the sake of my job, I will accept that. Thanks for sharing your story.

I am always greatful for your sincerity. You could have call up the client location and ask them to send some person to you so as to assist you. Or you could have ask the client that you are in such a situation and a sole lady and could not deliver as it is so late, and first thing in the morning I will deliver the same. If they are not OK with it, you could have find some vehicles to take them to the client and deliver it. Also, as I observed, I think your office people are taking advantage of the situation and you should act little more rustically. If no one around you to assiist at times like this, you should take pre cautions all time. You should take care of your health and so many things. If something happens you, who will take care of you? You should be aware of all these basic things. I am telling all these things, but I am also like you only dear. Only one difference is that you are a women and I am a young man!!! At work field or any where, I will dedicate myself fully and find it is a pleasure. A dedication and good work are different. I am sure that you will GET PAID for somewhere. Keep smile. Regards, Thank-s

We tried to ask the client that if we can if we can deliver it the next day morning but she refuse. She needed it on the site and the blueprints are for bank purposes. I think it's also my fault, I didn't bring the blueprint early morning that is why it ended up so late to finish. When I arrive at the client's office, I was surprised the she's already went home and I only gave the drawings in their security guard, she say's she will wait for me, I arrive 30 mins. from what she expected and she cannot wait for me. You know, my boss told me that there will be no increase in our salary as of this moment cause we are running out of budget, I've been working for 1 year and my salary is so low. We need to get a billing from client first but good thing we have a midyear bonus, a consolation prize . I guess I deserve a good foreign employer right? Filipino employer is much like of Chinese employer. As long as they can save money they will do. I really want to work abroad , I am tired here.

I saw an arcade and I am thinking of playing games, but I think I am too old for that.

i have never been in that position so i can only think about it. but if i may say...maybe you can from this point on have a back up plan for what you need as well as to get back and forth to your clients. also...bring some video games or something to do while you pass your time. of course be careful when out alone, but also learn some self defense measures..because they can always be useful!

My plan is to wait for the blueprint to finish and then I'll go back to the office for some editing and checking and then straight to the client's office to deliver it. I didn't know it will last that long. I know I can do some self defense although I am not train professionaly.

Hi Laniekins!. As usual you have a lot of patient, if I were you and have to wait 5 hours . I will be in bad mood, because I have to wait in the mall like person who have nothing to do. I know that must be really bored because you had no companion with you.

Yeah, I was really bored, I am imagining there is someone I know that I can chat with. I guess I was born to have a long patience in work, only in work!

Yeah! I've experienced that too!! You actually feel like your energy had been totally drained up on you. I specifically remember one time. It was just last holy week, on the Easter Vigil. It was I believe, my ultimate sacrifice. On the mass where they have to read about seven readings (and it was in Ilocano), I was very very sleepy! And then the priest has to chant every after reading.. and then he chants on the whole celebration and I was just too sleepy! That Easter Vigil really drained me! And it lasted for 3 to 4 hours. I even had to drive home after that and I was really psyching myself so I'd be awake and alert while driving.

hi, i havent really experienced the same thing... but i sometimes like being alone in the mall.. when mind is bothered of something, when i dont feel like staying at home... i would go to the mall even if i dont really have much money.. i usually just go window shopping, eat something, buy ice cream and sometimes go to the cinema... and if i feel tired then i would go home...

At first I thought going to mall alone, window shopping and killing the time was cool but now it changes for me. I get tired of non-stop walking. I am fascinated by the items on sale but I get tired walking around. I can't just eat anything I like even if I have money, I always watch the food that I eat when im outside, I might ended up in the restroom ( i have a sensitive stomach ).

hi laniekins.. it is ok as long as your work demands you to do it.. anyway that is part of your work and what you did as to make yourself not bored is also fine and i also experience the same thing.. i work as a financial advisor and one of my client request to see me in the mall after office hour and i've waited for almost 6 hours for my client told me that she's on her way to me but so much traffic takes her so long but still i wait and when she is already sitting infront of me i started to discuss the life insurance plan suited for her but she say she is very sorry for her time is now limited and she needs to buy something in the mall and needs to go home for her family is waiting for her.. what can i do? i wasted my time my energy but nothing happen..
