It could not be avoided that wife and husband argue or quarrel. If this happens to you, who will say first "I am sorry" irregardless if it is your faults or your partner? Please respond to this.

I have been married a long time, and it took me awhile to realize that sometimes saying "I'm sorry" will help defuse a quarrel, even though I feel that it is not my fault originally. If I can bring the quarrel down to a conversation, then I have a better chance of getting my point across. It really takes patience sometimes not to get frustrated and start to yell, which goes nowhere.

I was once told by an uncle, that for a good marriage to last, the one who should always apologize is the husband. That's what he does, and they are still married up to this day.
In my own marriage, who ever is at fault is the one who say sorry.
