Primary Day Voting

United States

It's primary day in California and many other states today. I regret that I did not vote today, though I almost never miss an election. However, I don't belong to either of the two major parties, and the propositions on the ballot didn't inspire me as having an effect on me, so I passed up this one. The media keeps saying that today is an important primary day. Maybe for states that have open primaries, but in California, it's too choose who will represent the party you are registered with in the November election. How about you? Do you always vote? Or do you sometimes not vote because you don't feel you have to (like if your party is running only one candidate), or not vote because you want a selection called, "none of the above?"

I'm registered Independent, and as an Independent in NM, you don't get to vote in the primaries (democrat/republican). I've never known a proposition to be added to the primaries, since all people don't get to vote. So, no, I didn't vote in the primaries, but the candidates I plan to vote for in November won...so all is well.
