I used to envy my sister because she recently acquired an iphone, it looked so cool but then my wife got a nokia touch phone as well and of course I can handle my wife's phone. I find the interface to be well... hard..
Perhaps because I have thick fingers that why I find it difficult to press the buttons? I also sometimes miss the right letter or number and had to type back before I can continue. Perhaps I'm just really no techy at all that's why I am finding it hard to use this type of phone?
I said to myself I'd rather have the old type of phones where it is more convenient to use the keypad to dial and key in text than be this techy 'in' guy, who has difficulty sending even the shortest text!
How about you, would you substitute the convenience of using an old keypad phone for being 'in' and having the latest gadget?

I have been searching an iphone on Ebay recently because I really want to buy one, they are very trendy according to me, my friends have it and even my brother at home so I want it too because of the multiple functions in it. And it is easier for me to touch instead of pressing the keys buttons.

Touchscreens are amazing technical gadgets, for people who like that type of thing, but for me personally I really do not get on with them at all... I much prefer the good old keypad personally. I am a texter more than anything else, and to be honest texting on a touchscreen take to long, and not only that I think I make spelling mistakes a lot with them. I just upgraded to a Blackberry Storm 2... supposed to be the best phone on the market... yeah it was touchscreen and it was actually one of the better touchscreen phones I have owned, even better than my iphone the reason why I got on with this one, was because the touchscreen actually felt like you were pressing a button, and texting was actually a breeze with the qwerty keyboard installed on it, and it did change my mind about touchscreen phones... but it crashed, only after 1 day after receiving it, and the battery ran down within 6 hours even though I did not use the phone... so I sent it back, and am now going to upgrade to a normal phone, with a keypad!

At first when I used the touch phones, I didn't get used to it. As time goes by, I adjust to it and I like it. My fingers are slim, so I have no problem to touch any buttons on the cellphone screen.

My cell phone is a touch phone, and I really like it. It does take some getting used to though, as they can be sensitive, although mine isn't as sensitive as some are, as it is more resistive than capacitive. I do like them though, once you get used to them, then they don't seem so bad to use. In fact, I will probably just use touch phones from now on. I find them much easier to use, and my phone has a stylus that came with it, so I can use that instead of my finger if I wish to. I do typing on it by using the stylus. By teh way, my phone is a Samsung Omnia 2, and it has all the features that I could ever want or need or use. Take care, and happy myloltting.

I'm now using a touch phone. The interface is much much better than my old phone. The only thing that I don't want about touch phone is I can no longer write a text message without looking at the screen. I can easily do that with my old keypad phone.

Personally i dont like touchphones, first im having problems with the composition of messages since id rather push some buttons instead of the screen itself. Second its too thin like im the type of guy who will lose just bout anything once in a while if my phone seems to be as thin as those iphones then it wont be long until i lose it as well.Id rather go with the conventional phone, well primarily i used my phone to call people like if its important or i use it to txt someone really important for me, im old enough and i dont want to be just like those teenagers flashing their phone every now and then. Or maybe i just like old school fashion type of celphones thats why

I really love the capacitive touchscreen of the iPhone and I must say that typing there is so much better than the traditional keypad or qwerty keyboard in some mobile phones. I could actually type faster on the iPhone than on any other phone. My only gripe is that I can't type when I am not looking at the screen unlike the regular keypad. I am also having hard time when I type with those regular keypads because most of my previous phones have hard keys that is why after typing some time I felt the pain too.

I got iphone i can say..yeah it was ok....but not that convinient to use since it was a touch pad.... when your in danger it takes time for you to hit the buttons...and you have to look where are you putting your fingers. unlike the regular cellphones that has buttons even though my eyes are close i can type or call somebody... its more convinient...i think i phone..is just for style..yeah it has lots of application inside... but i still prefer to use my phone... i bought my iphone coz thats the new craze and i feel like those who has it seems so show off.so for me not to have that feeling.. i join them.. lol remember:if you cannot beat them join them

the touchscreen phones may look very cool and attractive but they are very delicate. if they fall down even once, it will be damaged. so why take the risk? better buy something which you can handle well and you feel comfortable with. dont develop herd mentality. i mean, just because everyone else is using it, doesnt you also have to.
