I was initially downloading them illegally from the net, but once I realized that I was committing something that was terribly wrong, did i turn to legit purchases. What are your views on the topic?

I often download music from the internet free. I don't if it is legal or illegal. They have this line posted right above the download bar, "Support Artists/Bands & Buy Legal Music", so I think this is legal. Your view of this pls.? Is this legal?

See when they say "Support Artists/Bands & Buy Legal Music", they are trying to tell us that we need to buy the originals in spite of us downloading the music for "free". we need to understand that this in no way should be circulated among friends or whoever, as we are promoting piracy. So I would personally not suggest that you go on downloading music free of cost, and rob the artists of their respect.

as much as possible if you can afford them it is always better to do legal things rather than committing petty crimes. as you can feel proud and clean by using items that you didn't rob or stolen.
