Just saw Ces Drilon' s tweet a few minutes ago. She tweeted that a source from the Aquino camp said that Tony Boy gave 100 million pesos to Aquino's campaign and he is said to be the top contributor. Should we be surprised if he gets to be appointed by the new President? And if he is, do you think he can serve the post well?

Wow, that's a huge amount. Anyway, if the report is true, well it only shows that he has lots of money. I don't think Tony Boy will be eligible to become a Presidential appointee for he is a relative within the fourth civil degree of consanguinity of Noynoy which is prohibited under the constitution. I guess, the favor which Noynoy will give to Tony Boy will be on the business side.

Well they are relatives as far as I know so contributing to him an amount like that would be understandable. But for him to be appointed I guess it would not be possible since he is a relative and Noy had promised no relatives in his cabinet. But of course Tony Boy's personal referral might also work out. That way it is not obvious the he is paying gratitude to a relative.

not surprising at all, besides that fact that they are related. aquino has the highest possibility of winning so it is but natural that campaign funds as huge as this comes from businessman that always think business all the time. i will be totally surprise if tony boy contributed campaign funds to acosta or perlas..

I wouldn't be surprise. I'm not really familiar to how Tony Boy Cojuangco leads but I think every Filipino's open for the possibilities.

hi jen, Oh really? that is a huge amount of money! I expected that from Mr. Cojuangco but not as huge as 100M. Anyway, I only hope that the latter will not gain politically after that. I mean, we all know that he has a number of businesses and other ownerships in our country, with that people might think he might use his power if ever he'll be appointed on his personal gain.
