I haven't been to cagayan de oro city yet but it is one of my dream Philippine destinations. I have heard about the place many times and the reviews are all good. I hope to be there one of these days.

hi denz, i have been to Cagayan de Oro because my husband is from there. the last time i'm there was almost 5 years ago! haha but during that time i already saw its progress. the place is nice and fruits are cheaper and widely available. i think its also a gateway to other provinces in Mindanao. they are popular with their white water rafting and of course from Cagayan you can go to Camiguin Island which is very popular with their underwater cemetery, their changing shape beach, and their sweet lanzones. they also say that Cagayan is the City of Golden Friendship.

I have been to Cagayan de Oro several years ago with some friends. It has good tourism infrastructure, people are polite and there are a lot of cheap but good food. We went spelunking and rapelling there, whitewater rafting and of course to their beaches. They have some really interesting and challenging caves. I was a bit disappointed with my whitewater experience there. I have rafted in the North and that was really exciting. In Cagayan de Oro there were not a lot of exciting rides, water was a bit low. It was holy week and so there were a lot of tourists there. It is also the gateway to Camiguin which to me is a must-see.

I've been to Cagayan de oro City several times, because its the nearest city from my hometown province in Iligan City. Cagayan de Oro city now has many changes their economy is growing, lots of business opportunity. As for the tourist, they can enjoy the rapids of the white water rafting. And for the nature lover, they can visit the ECO TOURISM VILLAGE in Malasag.

I have been there for several times. It is a developing city and I think it is considered as the shopping capital in mindanao. I think that there highlight is the white water rafting, I've tried it and well it was quite an exciting experience.
