My myLot reputation is decreased

It does happen from time to time and, to be honest I have never quite understood how one person can keep rating someone negative until the rating drops because Admin have said before that one person cannot do that but by the look of it he or she did! I am sorry this has happened to you. It happened to me about a year ago. Like you I was upset at first and then I decided that if someone did not like me that would not be good enough reason for me to quit because I love it here too much, so I stayed and everything is okay...For now...Don’t let it worry you, ratings don’t matter that much, your friends are your friends no matter what the reputation says.

This is sad but true, but the fact that your reputation went down probably has nothing at all to do with your avatar. In fact, I think that our reputation really should fluctuate more than it does. When we respond to discussions or comments on our own discussion, we are able to rate them positive or negative. So, the reason that your reputation has gone down is probably because someone didn't like what you had to say in a couple of situations.

Being inactive causes your star to drop. If someone tries to give you constant negative ratings this activity will show up and the person will be penalised. Read the FAQ regarding the star rating.

hai. actually untill now, i dont know the influence about our rating to our earning (LOL). i think i just make mylot as my hobbies and make discussion while get earning as bonus for my activeness here. i never care about the rating in mylot because i dont know whats the function of rating for my mylot and my earning

Hi ET, Cheer up my friend. Let's consider it a challenge. You will be able to gain back your reputation. Just be yourself in sharing and speaking out your thoughts and feelings and you will be fine. WE all went through such process of having a decrease in reputation but it does not stop all of us from staying on. I empathize with how you feel right now and here's a hug for you.

I havn't understood myLot reputation system till now, though I've been here about 10 days. But fortunately my reputation keep rising these days. But the speed has become slow recently. The reputation is related on the "+" and "-"? I havn't used it yet. For I'm not sure how can it affect on other's reputations and earnings.

and now you're on 87. i can only believe that your reputation went down because you were inactive for quite sometimes. but i am not sure if this is the real reason for your reputation to go down.

I don't recall this ever happening to me. I think other members would have to have rated you with a minus in your discussions. Have your responses fallen off. The ones you respond to I mean. I would wonder.

Hi ET28LV, that is normal and it is part of the game. Don't despair, keep up the good work. As you know, we have lots of different cultures here in Mylot and sometime "they" might feel offended on your comment posted. That is normal, do you know previously I'm getting 6 stars and now you can witness yourself. All you have to do is keep on moving, don't stop and look back.

The decrease maybe due to our less activities in mylot.com so login more often to increase again your mylot reputation.

i had had that experience. i think i didn't log in for a few days and my reputation decreased. i didn't think that somebody rate me negatif. don't worry, you can get more if you active ET.

Wow I never knew we had to worry about our reputation on this site I just assumed that the information given was valid....I am glad you let me know that I try to answer only the questions that I can give a genuine personal response to.

no it is not about avatar but you must not have an avatar with link on it. i mean there must be no writing over it. also dont worry about losing your ratings. you are not paid for your ratings. you just try to work hard and your reputation rating will go up when people will press ++++ for you.. take care of your self

Wow, I did not know, that it would be possible. Whoa, I never even pay attention to my little star above my name, so I believe in the 4 weeks I have been on here my rating has increased by the day. I will admit that I do not log in on a daily basis to discuss as I have so much going on in my personal life that I just don't have the motivation. If it is possible that people actually do that shame on them. I have a face book account that I have well over 300 personal friends. I know each and everyone of my friends personally, however I have gone well over 3 months with no absolute interest in posting, reading or discussing anything. Mind you I have Face book on my blackberry and don't even check there. There were many times that personal friends on Face book were referring Fanpages, suggesting strangers to me to add as friends and my response to them was this is not a competition, when I signed up to face book it was because I wanted to somehow keep in touch and recapture old long lost friendships. So signing up to myLot was a bit daring as I came with absolutely no personal friends on here and have found that members here are much more caring and willing to give personal advice. I get daily request to add people and these are complete strangers. I have learned that either they want to promote their online ventures and or really find your responses to be helpful and or interesting. I want to sway more towards the responses as I have had absolutely no problems with people spamming me with information. So for anyone on myLot to make this some sort of competition and be so much as cruel to actual rate low intentionally so that the member does not have a better rating. Shame on you...... :(

Oh I think there is nothing to be sad about. Mine does go roller coaster in here. Now, my rep remained at 9 and has never increased or decreased over a long time now.

hi et28LV thats only two points, our reputations often slide back and forth like that, and you should still have a red star? I am also on 90 but staying there.Someone might have rated you negative but not very many as you only have a 2 point difference. I hate to say it again but some mylotters here still cannot get it into their heads that if we do not agree with their viewpoint they still must not minus us . only if we ou t and out insulted the person and no we do not hit minus just because you do not agree with the other person's viewpoint. Only insults get the minus and you are not that type. I would not worry as you will probably get the two points back soon.

Yeah Friend, I think,that is the reason, someone might have given a negative rating to your post. I haven't experienced it. Good Luck friend.

Aww sorry to read that, but who knows for sure why these things happen but my guess is that some member didnt like your response or topic and rated you negatively just because they could. When someone rates someone badly here it can have an effect on reputation some members can be a bit cruel, I really dont think its because of your avatar just my feeling, and guess. but your rep will go back up if you remain active here.

It is because people give you a "-" rating to your replies, it is why reputation decrese on MyLot. Me to, my reputation decreased from 96 to 86 in one night xD. I think there could be some people who attack each other on MyLoT.
