Download selfcare software...........Do you get this BSNL customers?

This is really annoying for the past two weeks.Every time you open your browser,this site asking to download the selfcare software appears and when downloaded,the antivirus points out to be an infected folder.I inquired the customer care center and they say it is quite normal and don't have any virus.What is your stand?

I have never noticed this kind of message.
It may happen if you are downloading .exe file th Av may indicate likely hood of virus infection.

Aren't you a BSNL customer?It doesn't happens only when downloading.Just open any browser and you will be redirected to this site,asking you to download the selfcare software.I have the habit of scanning any file before installing and my avg says it has 2w1 infections of which one is a trojan horse virus.So,I deleted it.

I have BSNL Broadband connectin, and the said message never appeared on my laptop.
You did nice thing by deleting the file if it hs indicated presence of Trojan

But the customer care center people says that it is not a virus.And this redirecting will be stopped shortly.Until then,i have to suffer this not only on opening up the browser for the day but whenever the connection is interrupted.Yo hell with it,it sucks up mostly while mylotting.

Well i too have this BSNL broadband, with unlimited download, i pay 668.00 pm as senior citizen, surprisigly i never get this message, i access through my land phone, here too speed was low, the Nokia modem they gave failed thrice, disgusted i purchased mine, it is BELKIN cost is higher, but better speed and no intermittent disconnections..

Then you should be lucky Professor2010. I am very much irritated by this redirection whenever you open it for the day or when you connection is interrupted. We have to start all the typing from the beginning and it is a criminal waste of time.
I am confused a little bit by that nokia modem. Are you sure, you get it from BSNL or you are using your cell phone as a modem?
