Lately, a lot of people depends on their friends rather than family. When there are problems, they will come to their friends for help rather ask help from any family member.
Friends are those whom you are not related by you can really rely on, against all odds. Family are those related to you by blood who will stick with you in any situtaion you are in.
How about you? Who you rely on more? Who are you more comfortable confiding with? friends? or family members? Why is that so?

I guess I am lucky. My family are my friends and I can go to them for anything. We give and take to make whatever necessary to make life go on as if there were no changes. Currently my sister is driving my car (a spare we have) because she did not have one available. My sister has offered to come help me paint and do stuff at my house. My whole family is like this so we are soooo lucky to have each other.

This is true.
Mostly, some rely on friends than their relatives or family.
Young teeners depend on their friends rather than their parents.
The fear is one reason why some children were afraid to tell their parents when they're having problem with studies, esp with love life.
Even if the parents tried so hard to reach their children, still, there's fear that blocks the communication between parent-child.

Yes - friends are very helpful in practical life than family this is true in my case. As family members have lot of jealousy and grudge on a developing person and they want always to suppress them. But friends understand the family back ground and also the situation a friend is facing, they come with helping hands.
I always trust friends who have really helped me in difficult conditions.
