can we earn money through wikipedia

i dont hink anyone can earn money thorough wiki.. if it is possible i would like to know.. wikipedia is 100% free web site and act as a knowledge base.. but if you want you can make your own web site or company popular my creating a page by yourself.. so when people find your web site in wiki they will think it has a somekind of importance..

No, Wikipedia is 100% free source of information without rewarding system.The only reward is satisfaction with popularity of your article, joy of sharing knowledge.I've heard that some companies pay people for writing articles in Wikipedia, but I never heard of people paid by Wikipedia itself.It was a non-commercial project from the very beginning.

well i have read somewhere that they are paying illustrators but the best ones. I dont think that most of us can earn through it

yes friend i think all the fellows have show you the right way.I also dont think that wikipedia is going to pay you for anything.wikipedia is an encyclopedia in which we can do editing and adding useful things to wikipedia that will be social help.

man wiki is not a commercial site it is a encilopedia all you have done in wiki will be considered as a contribution to wiki .

Well i have never heard of this but i would be curious to know how it's possible.
