You Can't Tell Noynoy to Stop Smoking....

Philippines

Most specially those who voted for him... Don't you know that there was this show about smokers being tested not to smoke for a day or a week, they got all kinds of sickness which was hell hard for them, most contestants even quit the show. So, if you want Noynoy to stop smoking, do you think it would help him become productive? Let's face it and accept who HE IS. you voted for him for Pete's sake, be mature and take responsibility for your vote and accept him as a smoker. HELLO! we didn't complain when FVR smokes Tobacco and then Erap with his Drinking and Gambling habits, and then we (or you) now complain about Noynoy smoking? if you're one of those people who want him to stop smoking then you're one of those who wanted to torture him indefinitely. I guess, needless to say, am through digging..I only hope and pray that he'd be a much of a DOER and not a talker. with binay as Vp, what could go wrong. oh, yeah, binay won even though he was guilty of having an affair, so what? ERAP had a lot of wives and kids with they're houses and all. wow, too much criticism? and yet am told 2 vent my criticism elsewhere hahahaha

Good analogy there friend. I think people have started feeling that Noy Noy is their puppet and he has to do whatever they want because he's been telling them that he would bring them change. I guess it's now payback time. People want change NOW! Change by starting with his smoking habits! I'd really hate to be in his shoes right now. People are now dictating him what to do with his life when in real life it's the main reason why he kept himself away from being married in the first place!

Indeed. Having a lot of advisers doesn't make you a good leader - it only makes you a confused person. Worst of it all, he's like choosing people who are obviously incompetent and just chooses them because they've done something good to him - like supporting him in his campaign. Indeed, favors are really a bad way to start.

Hello Laydee, I remember reading one article in the inquirer that Noynoy rejected his uncle's proposal to legalize, that was too close, if erap can't make it legal, then there's no way that uncle of Noy can. He has so many advisers, and that's not good, one wrong advice that he follows could flow in a negative turn.will burn back on him. it's his decision to be married or not.

I'm not lobbying against his smoking habits and it won't really matter if he smokes or not but I don't know... my opinion is the president's health is not just his interest but the interest of the whole nation. I guess?

Hello Louie, Well, he does represent the whole nation. and the trouble is smoking is that those who are being stopped to smoke might not give up smoking because of him. that's his problem, if he does out of sickness, binay can just replace him for all i care. the guy surely will not give up smoking.

He will not do it. Do you observe the tone of his voice when he said something about it? and why are they doing this to Noynoy anyway. They are just using him I feel it. Well smoking is really bad to second hand smoker. If Noynoy will smoke in the right venue then no problem with it. Why not observe if he will do some changes in our country rather than his privacy over smoking.

Hello grecy, I agree with you there. i have seen people who wanted to stop smoking and it was hard for them. maybe it's either he will stop after six years or simply he will die in his term because of his habit.

Hello Pakoo, Well, he did say it will help him concentrate or simply relieve him of his stress. but it would be bothersome, if he smokes on airconditioned room.

Yup, smokers can't just give up smoking that easily, it can leave you with different sickness if you do give it up but you know at least you're lungs won't suffer for it. smoke has always been his stress reliever.

yes. there are people who can totally quit smoking but it is done gradually. in the case of noynoy, he can't quit smoking that fast. if he force himself to do that in an instant, he will have that feeling of deprivation. that may affect his performance.

Well, if he visits a school, he should follow the smoking ban there. If smoking is his only vice, he has the opportunity to become a leader of substance. Eric

Hello manilatop, But if he doesn't follow that, it can be a problem and more teens and kids might even follow him, or gave an excuse like " the president smokes, so why should we stop" :D

Well for now I guess I am slowing down, my posting to politics after election. Like many candidates that won and lost they themselves have been in hibernation and I think I might as well lie low in the meantime that the transition is ongoing. Going back to the topic, well I guess it is Noy's decision when to stop his habit. I guess withdrawing from that habit maybe difficult but doable. So let us just wait in time that he can do it. It will not matter if he can deliver his promises with or without his habits.

Hello Rsa101, Except for my candidate, he either went back to red cross or had rumored to be planning to go back to ACCARP or to other Law firms where he can practice his expertise on LAW. but the rest of his volunteers supports noynoy now. I doubt he will STOP smoking, that's a habit that's hard to break, and people get sick when they stop smoking, so glad i didn't become addicted to this thing.

LetranKnight25, I doubt if the people are really mindful of his personal habits than his running of the office which he is being voted in. After the campaign, it is now in everyone's attention and hope that he walk the talk.

Hello sky, the surprising part is that people had started noticing his smoking where they didn't care about other former President's habits only because they are popular. well, there is a candidate that has the record of "walk the talk" but he didn't win, but still am hoping he'd do the same.

Hello there, I saw a lot of Noy supporters in facebook telling him not to smoke but why? people like you voted for him. but i think once a smoker, always a smoker, probably same goes with OBAMA am sure they will get along, imagine both of them smoking while having a meeting. binay is a doer politician, despite of the allegations.
