Philippines

Hello Lotters, this morning i went early to the hospital because my sis-in-law was going to have an tube monitoring operation on her instestines and some ultra sound because i was told that she didn't stop vomoting until she vomit some blood, and that scared them, no wonder mom went home late last night. So i woke up early and went to the hospital but not just to help them out but also to be around the room when the couple is in the operation. it's been a while since i slept in a hospital. But i didn't sleep from going there and leaving the place so i got this really aching head ache. i am not used to my head swinging in my sleep in the vehicle (bus). lucky that am home but too bad for my sis-in-law she has to go back for her next check up. am blessed to be healthy.

Oh I am sorry to hear that. I hope she is already okay for now. It is good that sometimes you show support to a family member who is in distress. It makes one a better person showing concern to a family member.

That is really gross!!! I am not that medical kind of person and seeing injection and everything makes me really gross out. Maybe that is the reason I did not choose nursing or medicine as my choice of career.

Hello Rsa101, There's no one else, besides i get to eat hospital food twice and then save some for my dog when i got back home. the only that she ate first was soup, but she ate rice and viands later on. i couldn't imagine her neck being injected with anasthesia.

LetranKnight25, Did your SIL undergo a Laparoscopy? Or, what did she have? I hope that she is doing better now where her vomit is probably to do with her intestines being temporarily disabled from the operation. In addition, anesthesia makes many people nauseous. For this reason, food and drink are given slowly for the first few days. Try encouraging her to get out of her bed and walk, starting the first day after the operation. The more she moves the less chance for complications such as pneumonia or the formation of blood clots in her leg veins. Do update us if it is at all possible as I am sure there are friends here who are concern for your SIL and you. Take care and best wishes to your SIL.

LetranKnight25, I just do not like what your SIL (both) are having and I think she should get themselves fully diagnosed for whatever before things get too complicated. Because by then we will not only be talking about an astronomical medical expense and an untreatable possibility as well. They really need to reconsider their decisions.

Hi, LetranKnight25. I am glad to know that your sister-in-law is doing okay. I am glad that you waited around to see how things would go. You are a very considerate person to be very concerned about her. I hope that she feels much better and makes a full recovery very soon. Take care.

hello cream, she's alright now but the findings aren't good to hear because it's something more serious.

Actually, we were at the hospital for four days last week. My mother was hospitalized because of her asthma. That was the time when we knew that she has asthma. A lot of laboratory tests were done. Then we found out that she also has diabetes. If she were not hospitalized, we would not know that she also has diabetes. These two ailments were inherited. I am praying that my sister and I would not inherit these ailments. I do not want to go back to the hospital anymore. Right now, my mother is very fine. The bill was quite big --- good that we have insurance plan. I will pray for the speedy recovery of your sister-in-law.

Hello Don, Don't get sick (Bawal magkasakit), that's has always been the best cure, is to prevent from having one. hospital bills are the worse thing to look to. doctors will persuade you to stay there like it's comfi as a hotel and then bangs you with the fees that you couldn't imagine.

Feeling unwell or seeing another who is sick really makes you realise how much we take our health for granted. I am blessed with good health but I have a friend who is waiting for a kidney transplant and has regular bleeds on the brain! It is when I talk to her that I learn to appreciate mine and my family’s health. I hope your sister in law will be okay and her tests come back with good results.

Hello Paula, Yeah, sick people makes us realize how lucky we are. it doesn't matter if you are the richiest man in the world, but if you're sick and dying, you're money is good as nothing if doctors can't treat it. bleeds on the brain? i hope it's not affecting your friends way of thinking. having tape worm or tumor in the brain is a lot worse.

Hello Jaiho, well, i can't say she got better, they just check her intestines out, not to mention she didn't eat the whole day for the tube check to commence. it was really hard for her but after that she became alright and ate well. yes, we should always be blessed for being healthy.
