I saw this pack of L'Oreal Hair colour in Plum in a department store a while ago and I've been super tempted to try it out ever since. I have dark brown hair and from what I've read , the hair doesn't actually turn bright purple but it gets this plum coloured tint in the light. I've always had a kind of 50-50 mindset about getting this done, and I'm still confused. Opinions? :)

Go for it!!! What you waiting for!! Guess it'll give you a nice purple tint to your hair without making it outrageously bright purple!! I wouldn't mind purple streaks in my hair :-)

Nice..get it done and then upload a pic. A couple of years ago, I wanted streaks real bad and so I went to get it done but the female at the salon spoilt my hair but bleaching it as she said the color wouldn't stay on cause I've got black hair and then she highlighted it with a bright orange!!! I was so embarrassed that I didn't go to college the next day. Went and got my hair dyed jet black!! That was the worst experience but I still colored my hair after that..hehe..But that was ages ago. Haven't colored my hair in a really long time now!

Sure thing! :)
Oh my God, the exact same thing happened to this girl in my class at college. She wanted to get one bright blue streak and one bright red one, and they said it wouldn't really show because she had black hair, so they bleached two bits of hair and made it totally white and then re-did the colours that she wanted . And the worst part was that poor girl spent like 6 hours at the salon and the colours barely showed! :( and they ended up turning orange too, so she just coloured it black all over, just to get rid of it. But eek, I'm excited now :D !!

Here in china i saw some purple color hair people. But i don't like it so much.
But if you like then you can try. But personally i don't like purple color hair.
I like black color and dark reddish.
By the way L'Oreal is a good company.

I would just go for it. If you already have dark hair the transformation will be great. I dyed my hair with the L'Oreal deep red which is usually next to the plum shade in the store and it looked really rich and shiny.
