Would Sally Mae be the ultimate option for student loan?

With the rising of education cost, you might either choose a federal loan with better interest rate, or else, there is a popular website specialize in student loan; Sally Mae. I never borrow money from the credit union or bank, but my cousin recently in desperate need of loan to finish his degree. So, after many painstaking research, Sally Mae actually qualify him for a loan. Have anyone applied a loan from it before?
