Got an Ipod or similar music player? How do you listen to your music? By Artist?

I have an iPod Classic... I have a lot of songs on there--3500+.
Not much considering how much music most people have, but I'm pretty satisfied witht that. I add new artists to my musical arsenal here and there.
Over time, I have too many songs to simply browse through on my computer, and that is where muh iPod comes in handy. I like to listen to my music by artist mostly, or i will create my own playlists of songs I want. I find it easier to browse music by artist because I have so many on muh iPod I don't have time to scroll through 3500+, even if they are in alphabetical order or arranged by album year... Real convenient if there's a favorite artist. I can just select from the list of artists on my iPod and then choose albums/songs.
I love listening to it music. Different genres, styles, instruments, etc--mainly rock/metal. It's really great.
Even if you don't have an iPod or portable music player, you have other ways of listening. How do you listen to your music?

i use an ipod classic too. i only have about 3000 songs. my ipod's always on shuffle. if i'm not in the mood for the song that's playing, i just press next. i've thought of listening to one artist at a time, but when i do, i get bored. so i just put it in shuffle.

hahahaha. Yeah That does get a bit boring. Sometime's i'll put my library on shuffle too and if i don't like the song i'll skip to the next and the next and the next... its also a good way to listen to songs you haven't before.
However mosta the time I listen to music by artist. If i'm in the mood (kinda lethargic) then i'll put it on shuffle and let whatever play. Go with the flow... drift in/out... That's another thing: i like to play music that tends to muh mood a lot so I manage myself that way.

OH... nevermind about that Gorillaz avatar thing. I just looked at it and it looked like a scene from their latest. My bad lol.
I have my music playing and i'm not payin attention to anything. just typing whatever comes to mind. like cookies.

my avatar's actually from one tree hill. :) it's a drawing by peyton sawyer. i just love her drawings, although i know that the actress doesn't do the actual drawings. :)
